View Full Version : Went to the track, bone stock lt1 with 3000 stall

1st pass the car was breaking up on too I guess the good Ole opti is doing what it does best and breaking up above 5000rpm or so
2nd and 3rd pass I let it cool down with the hood open and I couldn't feel any misfiring and it seemed to pull good.
Car is completely stock except for a cheap 3000ish 10" converter
Tires are nittor nt05r drag radials NO spinning at all with these just push the pedal and GO after a short burnout.

Not that anyone really care about watching a stock slow lt1 run but I was very impressed by only losing by .2 tenths to a new chevy SS

Not bad at all... my stock lt1... is doin 14.2s on street tires and a 2800 stall.

Had my stockish 6 speed 94 Hawk on the track in Norwalk Ohio yesterday. 4 back to back passes at 14.0x quarter
Best was 14.027
Clutch not grabbing till about the 60 ft mark. Only mods are Torqhead 24x and gutted cat.

2.2x was normal. I could feel the clutch slipping for quite a bit in first gear. I knew it was weak. But might have just kept me from spinning. Running on street tires.

My new best is 7.94 @86 with a 1.68 60ft
Mods are
224/231 cam
1.5 RR
Ebay longtubes dumped over axle with 18" bullet
Crane double springs
And tune of course
