I mean I want to put long tube headers and a different exhaust system I know nothing about cars I guess I'm asking does the motor being in a different car affect what I can do to it since there is space differences

Not really because its physically a small block chevy, which also came in the 3rd gens.

Longtubes for a third generation will bolt up. Just get ones for fastburn heads

For the headers and exhaust buy a set that fits the car with a standard small block chevy. If you are going 1 5/8" or smaller primaries then you will want to get a D-port header. If you are going with 1 3/4" primaries then the normal round tube will usually seal up just fine.
