My 1994 Cheyenne with a LT1/T56 from wrecked 1996 Z28 with 1 5/8 headers, Cometic head gaskets, SLP air foil, Flowmaster merge pipe, and Summit electric water pump. But still got a few things left but I hope to get them before the LTX Shootout this year.

Made the radiator cover from a old street sign, bought the elbow and throttle body plate from ebay.
Trans crossmember cut for a exhaust notch.
The wheels are off my Olds wagon while I wait for some 18x10 wheels and 295mm tires.
The bracket is made from flat stock from Lowe's for a support for the clutch pedal bracket.
Exhaust is dual 3 inch going into a merge pipe through a Flowmaster delta series 10 muffler and a 4 inch exit.
Switches on the dash are from left to right are water pump, fuel pump, and ignition.
The wiring harness I use was a PSI harness for a Corvette but haven't made the switch and used the Z28'same front drive system with a notch in the frame.

It was a what-if build. What-if GM was smart to continue the sport truck after the 454SS that couldn't compete with the Lightning, so why not stick GM's most powerful engine in the truck that could spank the Lightning, plus the T56 and 4L60E is the same length so the swap was the easiest thing even the driveshaft and yokes was the same.

I love the ugly red interior and that weird radio setup. You can find on eBay a color matched center dash plastic piece that will fit a single DIN receiver and a cubby plastic piece that replaces the stock radio if you ever wanted to ditch that stuff. I did that on my old 88 K1500 pretty much right away.
Looks good and should have been there from the factory. Well done, sir.

It was a old photo already replaced the dash radio controls and I lived with the black piece since high school so I'm not into to much of a rush to replace.

Had the one true LT1 experience when the optispark decided to give up so I ordered one from Sac City Corvette got it installed after 2 hours of hitting the back of the crank pulley to get it off got then got everything back together and fired right up and sounds smoother than before but now I noticed the fans aren't work so now I got to switch some wires to see if that the problem.

That's a good point, but I know where there is some weight to be taken off. The wheels on it now weight is 65lbs and I know from weighing a aluminum 18in wheel and tire at 45lbs and a fiberglass hood also would take a few pounds off and moving the tank from the driver side to the rear and going from a 25 gallon to a 17 gallon tank.

I got the flip kit on the truck before going to Memphis and the thing looks great with the 285s and the lower stance, that's why I think that this truck is what GM should have built after the 454SS.
Just needs the monochrome treatment and some LED lights on the front.
Went to the Roadkill drag race in Memphis and ended up in the Fans vs Finnegan & Freiburger. They got knocked out before I got to race them so I ended up racing the eventual winner and his 2013(I think) SS Camaro with a automatic. I had just two previous test hits before that which were 15.3 and 15.2 seconds at 96mph.
Future plans right now is a stronger clutch, aluminum driveshaft, Moser axels, Caltracs, and radials and hopefully climb into the 13s before refreshing the engine and slipping in Trick Flow cam.

Well I believe I broke something in the clutch, flywheel, or trans. It vibrates at 3000rpms in almost every gear and if I'm coasting to a stop above 30mph I can't put it in 1st.
And it happened around the time I figure I was going to go ahead and sign up for LTX Shootout and then it breaks something so this next weekend I'm going to try to take the trans out and see if I can see something wrong and if not then probably get the trans rebuilt later and a cam in the truck while it's out.

Should of said that I was clutching while coasting to a stop. When I slow down I engage the clutch for a red light and try to put it into 1st it grind till I get below 20 or 30.

Well first step is getting a deal on a 93 Corvette LT1 that will have a few more upgrades than the one already in the truck. It doesn't fix the clutch problem but it helps with the slow problem.

But I do have a dyno video link posted of it but I was on the opposite side of the exhaust so the video was a little quieter than it could have been.
