Recently snagged a true tool chest combo. Not much, but better than my 20+ year old craftsmanbtoolbox
I'm not very organized, so I figured I'd showcase a little work I tried with kiazan foam & get some feedback/ideas & what not (ball breaking too is fine).
Kiazan foam is more for wood working tools, but most auto stuff can be organized with it. I still have a few drawers left to do. Andb my sockets, still have to organize & separate the repeats from the el cheapos (ace, china, off brand). Repeats come in handy, my dad's Buick ate one of my favorite craftsman 13mm sockets.

Put little nub cut outs so it's easier to get things out, otherwise foam is gonna be torn up in short order, looks good

Looks good! AF paid Snap-on to do our tools at work.
That looks so great.
Can you post pictures of how you cut out the foam?

Yup, thanks! I found a video of someone using a propane torch & 1/4" copper pipe to burn the pulls in
That looks so great.

Sure, I'll shoot a little video and post tomorrow/saturday.

Organized some of my wrenches. Video and pics. No media of me outlining the tools, but you'll need a marker with a long thin stem, fastcap sells it & that's where i got mine from. I had the razor blades from my window tinting days (#humble brag).

I used to do the foam cutouts, but found that I add too much stuff and had to rearrange and redo it too much. So I got the socket trays and stood them up, rails for sitting the wrenches on, etc. Still organized, but not nearly as labor intensive.

Man, I know the feeling. I hate being lazy but sometimes I indulge in the laziness.
Trust me, I'm not redoing anything anytime soon. If/when I add stuff it will just have to sit on top of the foam until whenever I get around to it. It is time consuming to cut that stuff out.
