I am running stock fans and stock radiator, 160 t-stat with a jegs coolant recirculator tank. My fans are set up to turn on both low speed at 170 and off at 150 and to trigger the high speed on both at 173. My engine coolant temps run ~195-200 racing or driving around town. I have the FAST XFI wired into the factory wiring to control the relays for fan controls.

Stock fans, stock water pump, Griffin radiator, 160*F t'stat, no A/C so no condenser blocking the radiator, TB coolant bypass. TH400 cooling is handled by a stand-alone, fan-assisted, Perma-Cool cooler, since Griffin was ordered when the car still had the T56, hence no trans cooler in radiator. Stock oil cooler still connected. Coolant temp steady in 192-198* range, based on engine dyno results.

Buddy of mine had no problem using stock fans w/ a Be Cool radiator, on a blown 383 LT1 in his 30th SS convertible, making 1,125 HP at the flywheel. IMHO the Griffin LT1 unit was a better fit than the equivalent Be Cool unit.

Make sure your relays are good. They could cause the fans to intermittently work.
