Well looks like ive made a deal with the buick. 1987 chevy v20. 350 and 3spd. Full floater with 4.10s. Looks like 6 inch lift. Gettin some cash on my end and a new tank for my moms 86 c10. Neighbors gonna love straight pipe exhaust.

Love these trucks. Drove my buddys 454 82 3/4 ton other day and thought yeah... i should make deal so i can have fun again. Bounce buick off a tree it be bad.
Bounce one of these old trucks off a tree i just go to junkyard and get some paint at dollar store. Just my redneck side... plus cant haul scrap or gravel in buick.

Well that fell thru. He didnt realize i was 2 hours away til just this mornin. Stuck with this car. Should have never bought it. Only offer ive had is 1100 and i cant find a truck for that. Not unless i can sell my motor and car in same day.

Dont worry i seemed happier cuz i was wasted again when i typed it up.

So now i sit here sober lookin thru craigslist.

Well im bein picky. Its an 87 and thats year i want but its been swapped to carb and seems like its a headache thats been passed around. Plus i have no money for gas to get there and tags been expired on buick from not havin money cuz i cant find a job. McDs wont even hire me.

Found one near columbus thats almost identical to my old truck's factory set up (bottom truck, tbi 350, ugly dark blue, turbo400, 4 inch lift, probly 3.08 rears) but v10/half ton. If this dude up for it my buddy gonna loan me money to meet the dude. He wants me get one so if he gets stupid in jeep i can drag him out.

If not ill keep tryin to sell it to get the 87 v20 (top pic, 350 tbi, 3/4 ton, turbo400, 4.10 gears, 6 inch lift) thats missin title. I can fix that cuz im gonna track down previous owners and be an upstanding citizen. I atleast got to go out n check it over. Fires up faster than buick and it runs almost perfect. Needs a floorpan on driver's side but i can weld. Its lil beat up but if i bang it off a tree im not worried.

Brought it home. Runs great. Needs a lil work but i dont care. 38s n think a 6 inch lift. Bein 5'10" i gotta almost run n jump in it. Neighbors dont like me anyways so this loud toy oughta make em happy.

Didnt get to take pics. Was dark by time got it to house. Get some tmrw.

Scoop up those square body parts in the yards while you can, they are starting to dry up. I passed on a 72 4x4 4spd stepside truck. It needed too much to get it driving, but I still think about picking it up lol.

Haha pick it up anyways... the crap interchanges so easy. Well thats the gm thing haha. My buddy hoards square parts. I used to. Yard by me has a buttload if squares. I love em. Once i got my old 87 i couldnt shake the bug. Mom has a super nice 86 custom deluxe with 83k miles. I gotta put a tank in it. If u count my old truck as 2 after rebuild then this is my 4th. This ones beat but like i said im gonnna use it as a truck and not make it pretty. Ive drove lots of newer trucks and they just dont have the feel these old trucks do. Mine ride like a buckwagon but hey its a TRUCK. Not some bro truck. If wanted a cadillac ride i woulda kept buick. Maybe ill keep this one.

So 2 funny things after truck got here. We was unloadin it and a farm cat comes over. It sits there n looks at truck. I told my buddy " look trucks already gettin pussy."

Went uptown to get beer n girl that works there (tiny, black hair, cute lil thing) asked if i got truck. I showed her pics n she says "when do i get to see it?" Hmmmm.... truck mite get me in trouble haha.

Heres pic of moms. I did silverado interior, billet grille, 8 inch rallys, headers, and dual flowmasters for her. I got it all FREE. She loves it. Too bad its 305 with open 2.73 rear. But its factory 305 with 4bbl. Not a common set up from what ive learned.

Hell yeah. Helped my buddy build a 454 powered square. His was a halfton but we put military axles under it. Gave 4 inch front lift without aftermarket springs.

I have noticed these trucks have a sound n smell to em. The sound of the doors shuttin is always same. Aslong as u have factory doors. Even the dump trucks that farmers drive in the motors smell same as the pick up motors.

Knock on all the panels. Aftermarket sounds like a pop can but u mite already know thay. We had a bitch of.a time linin up aftermarket doors n fenders. Truck sittin on flat garage floor and front n rear never lined up. Scraped fender or hit cab no matter what. And sounded like crap when shut em. Threw em in scrap pile.

On a good note... lil tiny girl workin at gas station asked when she can see my truck. I said lemme.put my PANTY DROPPER decal.in back window. She says "Well hell yeah!"
