Been wanting to do this forever now. I always liked how newer, sometimes even older, cars had turn signals that toggled back and forth. So I decided to do it myself. Extremely easy, takes about 5-10 minutes per side, and only cost me about $5 for some wiring connectors.

Please excuse the cheesy video, I suck at video editing.

Cool idea, and not so bad of a video. The alternating flashing lights impersonate emergency lights, though (ambulances, police, etc).

It's completely legal, tons of cars have come this way from the factory. If the lights were red, then that would be another story.

Sorry, I should rephrase myself. I know it's legal, but how the lights blink REMIND me of emergency vehicles.

Gotcha, yeah that was the main reason why I wanted to do this. The way the light originally flashed just wasn't very noticeable at all. I wanted something a bit more attention drawing for safety precautions.

That's what my stock S-10 lights do... except they are in different housings.
People, try to get rid of it on the S-10s though.

It's nothing special or new, alot of people do this to their cars, I just haven't seen it done on ours yet. It's just a simple cut and splice job, very easy for anyone to do. Here's my crude MS Paint drawing:

You're basically just cutting the ground wire from the smaller 194 bulb, and tapping that into the blinker wire going to the other 3057 bulb. That's it...

lol my taillights used to do that. one side would blink back and forth instead of blinking together. once i added more fluid, it was all good :jest:
