Here is what many of you guys have been waiting on…..

World Products LTx Motown Block
4.000 to 4.155+ bore
3.4x -4” stroke...
All LTx accessories

MSRP for this block will be approx $2800, our agreement is that the first 200 block will be sold through a single dealer that we set up and we can offer group purchase pricing for the first 200 blocks/24 months.

Group Purchase price will be $1950

Now the tough news…to get this project off the ground we need to raise $69,900 to cover the tooling costs. Yes this is a big number but if we all work together it is actually not that hard to reach. We will be setting up a paypal account to accept/track donations. Any amount you can spare gets us closer to our goal.

Tooling donations can currently be made via PayPal @ LTXBlock@Gmail.com

Once we can make the tooling payment, World has told us that there will be a lead time of 24 weeks to build the tooling, then an additional 4 weeks to cast/machine the first order.

I would like to thank Tommy Roberts, Owen Buchanan, and Tony Shepherd for the help in getting this project started and the commitment to reaching the point we are at now.

We now put this is in the hands of the LTx/racing community. Please donate, share this post, tell your friends....Everyone that has dreamed that the LTx could be competitive in all forms of racing, with your help it could be a reality

Say the $70k gets raised, and tooling is made... who owns the tooling...? Usually, at least in my industry, the customer owns the tooling not the vendor. Just asking out of curiosity.
At the shootout I remember Tommy Roberts saying "we would own the tooling" but I think somewhere Ray said that world would own it. I either misunderstood or something changed. I'm not sure if the 70k is for the ACTUAL mold, or just the R&D for it.

Come to think of it, I'm certain he said that because I remember him saying that should there be an issue with world not wanting to cast them or something down the line they could take the mold to another foundry.

Has anyone considered a minimum donation to be added to a "first in line" or "dibs" list. For example if you were the 20th person to donate $100, you would be the 20th in line for LTX block. Just a thought to up donation $$.

last time I spoke with TOny we were just under $4k....slowly inching up....many of us are going through our parts piles and selling off stuff we don't need as facebook auctions and sending the funds to the block account

Maybe u should take part and stuff donations as well. Then u can auction that stuff off as well. Some people may just not have the liquid assets to donate but still want to help...

Everything has been setup with World Products, we just had to raise the money and send it in. Unfortunately we have a long way to go on the money side. We raised $5K pretty fast and then it went stagnant. We are looking at other options also that would cast the block with much less up front costs. The only hold back at the moment is the money issue. If we could hit the mark production would start. We are not giving up yet.
