saw this on another site and thought it was a good idea
for me id have to get a large amout over what iv got in the black car to let it go. my son came home from the hospital in it and my wife drove into out wedding in it in her dress. and my blue car i dont think i could ever let go. it was my 2nd car and my dad and i spent countless hrs working on it together.

Way too much to the point it doesn't make any sense. My TA was my dad's 1st midlife crisis. I took care of it while he owned it. When I was able to drive, I worked 3 jobs to buy it (father teaching value of a dollar). My dad and I wrenched on it. So did my friends I consider family. I started a damn business just to help fun the latest builds lol.
The car will never be sold while I'm alive.

My son inherits mine no matter what.
My older brother died 4 years ago and they were best friends. Prior to his passing, we worked on it a lot together so, it's his and it won't be going anywhere.
Now, the powerplant could be negotiable if i came across a cheap, badass swap.

Wouldn't ever get rid of it. Bought the car 11 years ago when I was 15 was my first car went to prom in it and my dad best friend and I have a lot of blood sweat and maybe even some tears in it not to mention the money I have in it at this point. Love the car way too much and even my wife knows it's the one thing that will never go

I don't think I could let my car go. I have to much time and money in it to see it go to somebody else who maybe won't car for it like I did. I love my car to much. Haha.

People always ask me what it would take for me to sell, and I'm the type of guy I'd rather burn that motherfucker to the ground before it leaves me. Way too many memories with that car to see someone else abuse her.

with the fact I have a lot less in mine than what it would cost to replace....none of those options really fit.
I have zero emotional attachment to any of mine...only financial...not going to lose money to sell them

My Camaro... Im with u Kyle. It would take ALOT for me to sell it. As for the Trans Am... probably more than book value, but thats not in stone. As for the Impala... Im really enjoying the big boy. Till Im done doing it up, I dont think i could let it go... well, I could but it will cost someone. Lol.

I would feel bad for whoever thought they wanted to buy mine so couldn't do that to someone.

My car, like many others in this community, has way more invested than it's worth.
From an emotional standpoint, it's my first real car that got me into the hobby. I grew up around muscle cars, but never had anything fun until I bought this. I don't want to be the middle aged (I guess they are considered old now lol) guy telling people, "Oh I used to have a 94 T/A years ago but sold it for nothing and I regret it and now it's worth $50k." A 94 T/A will likely never be worth that, but I still live my life on no regrets, and that involves a pretty complex decision making process, but it's a no brainer for the car.
I always thought the same about my 87 IROC, although I am growing less attached to that as it withers away in my yard.
First car I bought.
Helped me decide on my major.
Met cool as fuck people.
Makes loud noises when it runs.
The only way I'd sell the Camaro is if I had to choose between it and the Vette. No way in hell will I ever sell the corvette.
But back to camaro. I look at the experience and knowledge I've gained from owning it. From cooling shit to pulling the heads. The amount of knowledge I've gained can't be valued.

When I bought my 98 TA new for my 50th birthday, I told the salesman I would be back in 10 years for another one. I intend to wait until they make them again no matter how long that takes.

Not going to participate in the poll, but I used to be EXTREMELY emotionally invested in my cars. Life changes though. I used to never think I'd EVER part with the Purple T/A, but once I had an opportunity to get back the one that got away (my Vette), the T/A was gone in the blink of an eye. Even now that I have my Vette back, I'd like to say that I'll never part with it, but truth be told, it's a car. I may even lose interest in it one day. Who knows.

I have had mine for 14 years it's like a part of me almost as much as my kids, our, I have no intention of every letting it go. It may be stored and brought out when I can enjoy and fix it. We all do not now what may turn up in life you need to hold on to things and people who make you who you are.

I've had mine for 11 years since 2005. It belonged to my older brother. My younger brothers love the car and we've worked on it together a lot. My girlfriend loves the Camaro probably more than me. As I was reading this thread is verbally told her that I was never getting rid of the "Z" even if we have kids and hit hard times. (I plan on marrying her)

Never and I was offered 70K for it when stationed at Ramstein. It pisses more people off as to why I hold on to it as they say they have no value blah blah blah. Didn't buy it for value or appreciation (if it ever did...cold day in hell for that I'd think but who knows) I bought it because it was coolest thing I had seen when released in 93. I've had it 20 yrs now and counting. I'll either give it to a real close friend if I had an untimely death who helped me work on it all those years ago and who owned the cleanest 94 in existence (regrets he sold it almost 10yrs ago) or I'll have my ashes in the car in a secret location so I'm always with the car. Sell it? Was never an option and can't wait for another 20 to pass and pull that clean bitch out tearing shit up. :D

I hate my Camaro. It is a huge pain in my ass. It never runs right, is slow as hell, and looks like crap. I think about parting it out or setting it on fire every month. If I ever did I would hate myself for doing it. I hate the damn thing so much I feel a deep attachment to it. It kills me every time I go into the shop and see it sleeping there. I have stockpiled parts to fix it and make it faster. I just never have the time or the money to get it back on the road. In 2 more years it should be eligible for classic tags in Delaware. My hope is that by then my financial situation will be stable and I can get it tagged and then put the blower on. Once classic it won't need to go to DMV ever again. For now I love to hate the turd.

I hate to admit it, but I love my fox way more than I've liked my f bodies. They're cheap, easier, lighter, etc. Although most of them are ugly as sin, I like mine a lot.
Not saying I wouldn't own another f body. The green vert was cool but heavy, iroc was awesome but had some frame/body issues.

You're not lying about cheaper and easier with Foxbodies. I can literally every nut and bolt for sale for my 91 Foxbody very easily...and cheap.

Far as daily drivers go, I kind of miss the old one but not much because every time I buy some thing it's been better than the last. I sold my C6 and it was a lot of mixed emotions doing so, I knew it was the right decision to make given certain circumstances but it wasn't easy to make and I miss it. I am more so uncomfortable with the fact I may not get to own another. The Trans Am, I can't make up mind, it's a cool car, I still like it but it's also some what of a burden. I also am coming to a point where I am tired of dedicating so much of my free time to this hobby I feel as if I am missing out on other things.

I was more attached to my Jeep than my Formula and I let it go to get my truck. Plans and life changes; Toys come and go. Don't get me wrong; I really like my car (even more now that its tagged) but if needed the car would go.
