Watched it a few months ago. Definitely a good interesting series. That whole city is corrupt as hell. Lol
Not sure how far you are into it, but Steven should have walked away when he had the chance to avoid that whole mess he got into.

We watched that a while ago, very good show. Made me very frustrated the whole time.
That town's police force needs to be expired.

I went on a binge and watched the series in a weekend. Very good show and gets you to thinking what if I were in his position.

I would have started taking out those cops. If you're going to keep trying to put me in jail i'm going to take out the department and give you a good reason to do it.

Just remember what Brian said and do your after the end research. There's a LOT out there that wasn't given in the show and shows that the show's production was extremely biased. Still not quite enough to turn my feelings around on it overall though. That said.......

Great show, first i thought he didn't do it, then i thought he did, then i thought he didn't, still cant make up my mind. His nephew reminds me of the whole Jessie Misskelley, West Memphis thing.

Ok... i finished the show.
Id love to do some more research.
I could make arguments for both sides... hard to read the inbread Avery as to whether he is telling the truth or not... however it is clear during his first arrest it was all about making the evidence fit the arrest rather than letting the evidence negate the arrest...
I love this stuff.

OK now that you have finished it we can talk about it. First is there was no clear motive. I understand it isnt always the case but this woman had obviously came to the salvage yard before and met him before. Also who in hell would be dumb enough to kill someone and part the victims car on thier own property? The Key was BS as well after numerous searches of the house and found days later into it. Then the tube of blood has red flags all over it.
As far as the nephew he is just extremly slow IMO. and how can they find steven not guilty on mutilation of a corpse yet find the nephew guilty on the same charge? Whats your take on it?

The nephew was looking at life in prison and he was worried about missing wrestlemania, not a credible confession IMO.

I honestly must say I agree with every point u made. Now that is based on my only knowledge being what the show offered.

I think his mental ability really needed to be taken with more weight in the decision. It also confused me why his attys would allow the 4 hr video confession then agree to skip the part where he said they "got in his head."
And yes... we do use many techniques to get confessions... but at the same time its not meant to trick someone who didnt do it into confessing...
