So I picked up another toy last weekend (4/8/2015). I think the previous owner was a member on here, but I may be wrong. I bought the car for my girlfriend as an attempt to get her into the hobby. She really enjoys driving it so far, but we haven't taken it far due to needing some basic work.

Anyway, here are the specs:

1994 Camaro Z28 M6
Low option car (cloth seats, hard top, manual windows)
Black w/gray interior
200k
Brand new clutch, slave & master
Firebird ABS wheels
Newer 98-02 power seats
Some kind of retrofitted GM stereo
30k mile MSD opti
Exhaust leak behind cat - pretty sure this is the source of a random SES
Otherwise stock as can be

I got the car for about the cost of the trans alone. It's a high mile car and feels tired and sluggish. There's a small hole near the cat and the floor needs to be patched on the passenger side. The car really needs a good tune up and checked over to ensure it's mechanically sound.

Ordered up a bunch of parts from RockAuto and Amazon. The last few items will arrive tomorrow, so can't wait to see how it'll run!

So far, we did the following:
Air filter (stock airbox)
Truck K&N HP series oil filter
Lucas oil stabilizer
Castrol GTX 10w30 dino oil

Next on the list:
TR55's
Wires
Rear pads
Wipers
Short throw shifter (scored one on ebay!)
Fuel filter
Serpentine belt

One issue that bothers me is that the car has a slight shimmy when you release the clutch. Some times it doesn't do it at all and it's all gears. I haven't had a chance to thoroughly inspect the car as I've been out on business all week and sick this weekend. I wonder if it's a trans mount or something. I will say this - it felt good to get back in a 4th gen. If we decide to keep the car, it will definitely come a long way from where it was when we bought it.

I tried like hell to get him to join... not sure if he ever did, he was more into asking for advice on many of the GREAT fb LT pages, lol.

Anyways, great buy man... hope u both enjoy it. Little under a year till dyno day... ;)

Installed a short throw tonight. Got it used on eBay for like $35. I think it's a B&M Ripper shifter. This was top priority aside from the tune up. The stock shifter is just too long and sloppy, this feels like how it should have been from the factory. EASY install.

The shimmy upon clutch release is far better but still there to some degree occasionally. I'm looking forward to getting the thing in the air and inspecting everything. Inspection runs out this month so I need to get the ball rolling. If it was a driver for me, I'd just get a sticker slapped on. Since its for the girlfriend, I need to make sure it's 100% safe and legal.

I forgot about this thread haha. Finished plugs and wires and realized it's not an MSD opti and was running on 7 cylinders the whole time...at most. Put 10 miles on it and apparently the opti took a dump.

Lack of time and interest means someone else can resurrect it and have fun :)
