All car shows are like this nowa days, they are for the average person, if there was actual tech most people would glaze over watching it. It has to be stupid for people to watch.

You ever shop for a "dessoL" Aka de-zul. These flat brim morons want an ass load of money for a truck with holes cut in the bed for them mad cool stacks. On 35s and other ghetto mods. Makes finding a clean truck hard.
I don't see this show helping the "industry"

If you lived someplace like CO with lots of snow and some cool mountains one of those would be awesome for exploring. I really like that 6 door Mega Ram they built. I can't imagine trying to navigate around town in something that big.

Cmon... other than the fact that they obviously lift and may chemically enhance their lifting... they are far from the uneducated, do nothing in life JS douches. Hell these guys own and run a successful busimess that got on tv... the JS guys only gained success from being on tv... and that success was short lived when the show ended...

For the Denali they just did a small lift, wheels and tires and fixing the rough body. The Chevy was totaled before I think and they did a bunch of custom suspension stuff to get it up high, 4 wheel steer, and big tires and all the other usual big truck stuff. It's seemed to me like that chic probably brought them that truck to customize rather than their story of buying it all shitty and fixing it up, and then finding some chic with a hedge hog burrowing out beside her eye who is looking for a brodozer to blow $82k on.

And, to be fair, they got a SEMA invite at some point so someone knows what they're doing somewhere within the whole thing unless Discovery paid for them to attend.

They were at SEMA before they got the show with the grey 6 door ram (mega ram I think they call it). their main business is their website dieselsellerz.com, which is diesel truck parts and also buying/selling diesels.
https://www.dieselsellerz.com/

missed the first episode, but have the mud truck on DVR to watch tonight

donfrye

Well, they were at SEMA in late 14 showcasing the fusion bumpers at fusion's booth. I was mistaken. They did not have their own invite.

Given that the show filmed in 15 and aired in Jan of 16, discovery likely played a role in their inclusion.

I got the same impression on that situation, truck was beat to hell and was not worth near the 50k they "bought" it for. seemed like a setup, but was a good looking truck in the end IMO although not functional at all for off roading like they were saying. total mall crawler.

mud truck was awesome though, all of the custom frame and suspension stuff they did to it was really cool. kinda wish they showed more of the fabricating part of it, though that probably isn't what their general target audience cares about lol

I think with the cover/console and seat position made it impossible for me to sit comfortably.

Keep in mind, I'm not sure if the one I was in was a converted military or civilian version. The guy bought it from the gsa auctions.

I'm sorry. This show is horrible.

Everything they "build" looks the same despite the type of vehicle because they insist on adding their mesh grills and off the shelf fusion bumpers (sponsor money). The fake enthusiasm and hijinx which usually make car shows more interesting and fill the gaps simply annoy with obvious homoerotic overtones included for the broseph effect.
