Hey guys, lookin for a good stock replacement shock for the rear. i was thinking about the kyb gr2 shocks but most say they are not good or only last about a year before they get harsh. i know the general consensus is bilstein but rockauto has a few cheap options that i would like to get to just have stock like performance. also should i replace the springs at the same time or just do shocks and see how they do?

Thanks- Chaz

You get what you pay for with shocks. There's a reason Bilstein is popular, they're a great shock for the money. Why you'd want a shock on par with the stock DeCarbons is beyond me, they're utter crap. Ride in an F-body with decent shocks on it and you'll see a huge difference. Bilsteins work great with stock springs or aftermarket. Stay away from the el-cheapo stuff like Gabriel and Monroe.

I'm not sure honestly. I got them from Ryan Stout about 2 years ago when I bought his green camaro. He might know
