Turbocharged and supercharged?!?!?!
I know thats a contest car, but Is this the new direction? Ive noticed some new luxury suvs out there that are boasting similar (less powerful) set ups.

I think we will be seeing more OEM compound boost setups in the near future whether it be turbo/super or turbo/turbo since they both have some nice Pros.
However in the case of the Hellcat X it is marketing and a waste of 2 62mm turbos IMO. Stock Hellcat 707HP, Hellcat X 805HP really?
Seems like a big plumbing nightmare and quite a bit of additional weight on an already fat cat for a measly 98HP, I'll take a pulley and tune for my 14% thank you.

A cylinder can only handle so much pressure before something gives. Build a long block to handle 30lbs of boost and then compound boost it (turbo + supercharger) and at the 30lb mark you're playing with fire. This car is a gimmicky marketing ploy to suck people in. The hp only goes up a tiny bit because the turbo's that they spec'd are only adding an additional 2-3lbs???? of boost. They know that they could have simply swapped pulleys and gotten the same result but the F+F crowd doesn't know that, and they will be talking about and entering the contest. The whole idea does have some merit if you build the entire combo correctly. The supercharger is great for instantaneous power from idle-4k, then the turbo's come into their efficiency at 3k-7k.

I was just suprised when i saw it on such a potent set up from the regular hellcat.
I believe volvos new suv is a 4 or 6 cyl with a supercharger and turbo... only rated at 300 and change. I dont get it. My wifes 6 cyl genesis coupe track is 306 hp, NA.
