Well, I started a build thread for my camaro about a year ago then changed directions. I decided to do a turbo build, and last week I got my first parts for it(hot side). This build will definitely take time to come together. I want to make 1000rwhp but we will see what it makes when it gets done.

As I sit right now, I have a 1994 camaro z28 roller with a 10 bolt rearend (lord help this poor rearend LOL). I have a build sort of set up...

38xci LT1:
Callies Dragonslayer 4340 crank 3.75 stroke
Callies ultra xd I beam 5.85" Rods
Diamond custom pistons w/ rings
Cleavite bearings
LE Trickflows
LE Hydraulic boost cam
GT4788 turbo
LT1 Boost 88mm Hotside w/ 40mm waist gate
A2W intercooler
I am going to run the LT1 pcm and Opti as long as I can
Single plane intake
E85
LC1 wide band

4L80e swap
Want to find out if there is a way to control the 4l80 with the lt1 pcm

10 bolt till it breaks then go 9"

Suspension and a cage will come after I get the car moving under its own power.

this thing has been sitting way to long lol

1k is a tall order. Im definitely subscribed. Please keep this updated, and keep the pics coming.

Can i make one suggestion tho. Start with the rear... then the suspension... then the trans... then the powerplant. That way, u can use it when u build it. I did ny boost build motor first and it took years to get it right.. then it took more time to make it where I could use it, and Im still a strong driveshaft short from being able to stick the power... and thats only 602rwhp.

popo8 the trouble is, I need to get the car out of that shop and moving as soon as i can, so that means getting the drivetrain in and going. My dad wants his shop space back rofl

You can run an 80e with an lt1 pcm. Several guys here doing it. I'll be listing mine for sale soon

Yea I may start ordering some of the smaller suspension parts but the bigger stuff will have to wait till I get it moving.

do you know how it is controlled? does the tuner just trick pcm into thinking its a 60e?

Sounds like an interesting build. Did you pick 1000rwhp as the goal since its a nice number? Its certainly not impossible but rare for a LTx. Who is building the engine?

E85, 1000whp, and turbo... better be prepared to spend a few grand on fuel pumps and lines.

Is it a T4 88mm?

There is a couple shops here in my home town that have good reputations, I'm also about an hour away from Omaha NE which also has some options as far as machine shops and engine builders. I need to do some shopping around.

As far as horsepower is concerned I'd be happy with ~800 hp on a dyno but I want to be able to support 1000 so if I get the itch to make it happen I can.

Oh, gotcha.

I was thinking that you ahd the heads from me at some point.

I really have no idea then.

I dee a dbl spring withdmper, red stripe on spring, retainers and 7 degree locks. . . . . . . . . based on that it doesn't really look like any "high end stuff" at all.

Who knows what brand/quality parts they are.

If it was working with the old cam I would sell it as a cam/spring set up that was working before and get a better spring set up for what you are doing now.

Thanks lloyd, I pulled the other valve cover last night and found what I presume to be stock valve springs. It's just a single spring... looks pretty wimpy lol

played with fire today... Told my girlfriend that the car has to move under its own power before she can have a shiny ring... :shiner:

I all reality she has helped this build along, and I love her immensely for it.

I'm glad she has a sense of humor.... lol

This is my $250 haul from the weekend... studs, rockers and guide plates. Lloyd isn't sure if these guide plates will line up on his ported trickflows but I'm willing to find out...

picked up a garage attached to a house the other day.... anyways i have room for all my parts now.... but no money to buy more parts... gonna have to wait a couple months for updates while we close on our house.

Bank has been screwing us around on the house but we are finally within sight of a closing date... bout a week and a half and this project will have a new home :) ..... but onto the goods... got a deal on a gt4788 that I could not refuse so I pulled the trigger and went that route. I have to put a t6 flange on my hotside and I'll have to make or somehow come up with a bigger down pipe to accept the 5" exhaust dump.

Its been pretty slow around here lately, I tagged a raccoon on the highway while driving home (in my lady's car)... managed about $2200 worth of damage, insurance will pick up about half of the tab after the deductable... But thats just setting me behind farther. I feel like lately I've hit a lot of road bumps along the way. So goes life I suppose. I'm also waiting for the world block to get funded (I'm really wanting to get one if it ever gets funded). I wish I could donate more then I already have.
