It seems ya have a decent stable of vehicles, maybe ya oughta think about investin' in a barn. Real estate...to hold the black gold/Texas Tea "cups". The more full oil pans ya have the more ur gonna need a lift...believe me.

We are actually doing home renovations now (to the actual living quarters), and Ive been speaking with the contractor re an addition to the house where the shed is. A 3rd bay... wide enough for a lift and comfort working... and twice as deep as the other garage so I can have vehicle storage and a workshop. However with a ball park est of 100k... it will have to wait till I pay the house off. Good news is, that is less than 2 years away.

They were in the beginning of the season.

Dont get me wrong... the top of the current garage would also have the roof removed and be built up another story as the master bedroom then.

Get an electric water pump, the housing is there clearanced already, and the nice wiring is there for it. New delco opti2 with it with new taylor otvc wires

I already have better lifters for it, same ones osie has in his 383 as recommended by karl. Brand new crowers. If the springs weren't right on the heads I sold that'd bother me since he set them up for the cam specs.

Idk how much power an 11.55 would take, Id be extatic to see an 11.99 out of something that large. My TA only runs 14s.

Well in the camaro, I kinda do. I have an OBD2 PCM that will plug in with no SES lights.... driveability sucks and car makes 508hp on that one. Then I have the good set up... OBD1, great driveability, and the car makes 602.

IDK if I can do the same thing with the Impala...

I don't see why you could't "run" an OBD2 PCM and have it just receive power and give serial connection to ADL port. As long as VIN checks and all systems are tuned to show ready, should be enough for inspection?

I figure it would just be easier to return it to obd2... then have it pro tuned where indid my camaro... worst case it will be h/c/i... should not be as much headache as boost set up was to tune.

You would need to have the obd1 pcm modded for knock sensors, but idn if running it long enough to make everything kosher in the obd2 would hurt the trans as it does something to the 1-2 shift from what Cahall has said.

But its a 96... so it was originally obd 2.

And so does my camaro. Ut an lt4 knock module solved that.

There is a way to modify the obd1 computer so you don t have to change the knock sensor. I would think that was done. Just requires soldering a resistor in it.

Even had the vin and stuff flashed into the obd1 computer. So as far as Im concerned it is easier to turn the car back to the way it should be... and if I understood tubby, the trans needs a different valve body installed to make it work obd2 ( Cahall ) may be able to clarify that for me as well as let me know if the trans can handle light usage the way it is after reverting the car back to obd2...

Lt4 module doesn't work in impalas or caprices, they have 2 knock sensors, not one like camaro and firebirds. If you wanted to run it that way, you would have to run a camaro or firebird pcm, which then won't allow the ac to work, due to different outputs on the computer.

Valve body and internal wiring harness. That's what was switched from 96 to 95 when we did that.

For those that dont already know from the build thread, Tubby did an awesome job getting the car back together. Picked it up this past weekend and drove it home (bout an hour and a half drive).

No issues at all (with the car at least)... its truly a beast.

The fleet is back up to count...

U are soooooo right. Mine does not give me any crap over it. The bills are always paid...by me... she gets whatever she wants, whenever she wants. So what i do beyond that with my loot... its all good.

Outside of being a cop... I guarantee many drug addicts spend more on their fix than i do on 6 cars... lol.
