So the valve spring kit is for a Vortec engine, but will work on the LT1? You have a part number for the rockers and springs, or are they the ones that normally come with the kit?

Yes the valve springs are OD 1.270 ID .880 120lbs@1.765 installed Height and 320lb@.550 lift they reach coil bind at 1.145, the retainers have been machined on the bottom to gain clearance between the bottom of the retainer and the top of the guide and seal so that on most vortec iron heads you will have between .530-.550 lift capability. The spring kit is from Alex's parts, and includes hardened spring shims, i also have a set of hardened comp cams pushrods and the 1.6 roller tip rockers so everything fits under the stock valve covers. Yes this kit is designed for the 96-02 vortec L31 and also the iron head LT1 engines and will also fit the aluminum LT1 heads as well.

I also have a .590 lift LT1 aluminum head valve spring kit from Alex's parts that i will put in the kit in place of the vortec specific spring kit if you want. They are OD 1.268 ID 880 130lbs@1.780 installed height and 318lbs@.500 and 340lbs@.550 360lbs@.590. They come with new spring cups, 7 degree retainers and locks.

I will include either spring kit with the kit, and if you have an LT1 you cant use the vortec timing cover so ill keep that as well. Will do 525 shipped without the timing cover or the 550 with the timing cover. Will entertain reasonable offers.
