I've got a 1996 v6 firebird that is going ws6 and then some. For the car I've picked up rear high rise hatch, front and rear t/a bumper covers, and side skirts. I also found and picked up a factory never installed ws6 ram air hood! You don't find them everyday! The car is originally and Oklahoma car so no northeast rust issues.
Motor wise, the v6 is likely being melted down now as it went to the scrapyard. In its place is a forged 396 ltx that has been 24x converted (I can share more build specifics if interested, its stout) and on a 300hp shot of nitrous.
The motor is being backed by a 4l80e that I am building currently. Its getting a hardened billet input shaft, a billet forward hub, and a TransGo HD2 kit. I have yet to spec a converter. That spins the PST 3" steel shaft and the Moser 9" with 4.30s.
This build is about 3 years, 3 motors, and two cars long. The wife enjoys it...not so much.

Engine build top to bottom...
-36# injectors fed by a single 340lph intank aeromotive pump. Ported Edelbrock Airgap intake and a Arizona Speed and Marine 58mm tb.
-Heads are AFR 195s worked over by Lloyd Elliott, taken out to 214cc runner flowing 311cfm @ .700 and cut down to 58cc chambers and full complement of valve parts to support a high revving solid roller setup. Running cometic MLS gaskets at 4.040" dia and .032" thickenss on a zero decked block.
-LE spec'd cam @ 255/263 .688/.688 107lsa again SR.
-Probe forged pistons with 5cc valve reliefs, pretty sure with a .032" quench these are important :)
-Callies Compstar forged 6" I-beam rods
-Eagle Forged 3.875" stroke crankshaft
-Block has been bored .030", zero decked, and fitted with splayed 4-bolt main caps then line bored and honed on the main journals.
-and oh yea, Nitrous Outlet 58mm plate kit on a 200hp shot with plans to end up at 300hp shot in the near future :)

All machining has been done by a local engine builder, Bernie Thayer @ Thayers Automotive. Bernie is a local small full service shop and he does ALL the machining himself and is SUPER fussy, which is a good thing for a machinist in my opinion! Bernie internal balanced the entire setup from balancer to flywheel. Main bearing clearances are all between .0022-.0025" rod bearing clearances are .0024-.0026". I have great oil pressure at temperature! Ring end gaps are .025" top and bottom.

The ignition has been upgraded to a EFI Connection 24x setup to get me into the 7k rpm range. I built the wiring harness myself, eliminating all unnecessary functions like AIR, EGR, VATS, Traction Control, down stream O2s, Cruise, A/C. http://ltxtech.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=33813&stc=1http://ltxtech.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=33814&stc=1http://ltxtech.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=33815&stc=1
Originally the car was a T56 car but now I am in the process of building a 4L80E to put behind it. It is being upgraded with a billet input shaft and forward clutch hub to aid with the torque shock from the nitrous hit.

Looks like a very nice build. So is the motor in and running now?
L.E. was def a good choice to use for the port work. He is actually a sponsor here NightTrain66 .
We have another sponsor here... best in the business with autos, so look for CPTs Cahall for insight into how to make a trans strong. He prob wont give away all his secrets, but hes always been here for the community.

The motor is up and running, however, it has no time on it. I have had startup/idle and driveability tuning done to it but then decided to undertake a "car swap" with it. Originally everything was in my 1997 Z28 backed by a T56. Now I am swapping everything over to a 1996 Firebird V6 automatic that I purchased and doing a WS6 'clone'. The Firebird is a hardtop manual window/lock car, not even cruise. Just the way I want it! I picked up T/A front and rear bumper covers, sideskirts, high rise hatch, and ram air hood. Luckily everything has been in black so it matches the car! Its a pretty big undertaking, now I have a 3/4 parted Camaro and a 1/2 assembled Firebird in the garage. The wife loves that, insert sarcasm here...

And the icing on the cake! This badboy is a not previously installed factory GM ram air hood that has been kicking around a couple garages for years! Its not easy to locate these anymore for less than a small fortune! I'm typically an impatient guy, but I guess it pays to hold tight sometimes. It took "my guy" just over a year to locate this baby! http://ltxtech.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=33824&stc=1http://ltxtech.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=33825&stc=1
Cant wait to get the T/A bumper covers on...

Well, even though work has me away for the time being that doesn't mean I can't get some stuff done on the car! Just the other day I placed my order for a 4L80 converter. I went with a Circle D Billet Pro I stalled at 3600rpm. Chose to go single disc lockup because I see no situation where the multi disc WOT lockup would be necessary for me. It is being built on a 10.75" bolt pattern so I can bolt it to a 153 tooth flywheel. Now all I need to do is get back home and get to work on it some more!

Its been awhile since my phone last update...the 4l80e is all in and has had the segment swap done to the pcm...it works! Its winter in Maine (not that you could really tell) so its only been run on the stands. Waiting on my Corsa exhaust which should be in this week. I have a mufflex 4" setup thst i was going to use but decided against due to my 3" driveshaft and 9" rearend, just dont think the room is there. Need to grab up a shifter too as the cable bracket on the 4l60e is different than the 80e and wont allow for first gear to be engaged with the factory shifter. More pics soon .

I haven't completed it yet as its so much easier to get at stuff with it apart. However it will be one of the next things that I want done before deploying again next month.

Been awhile because I am deployed currently so not much going on with the car....as its approximately 6,500 mi away. Anyway, before I left got to check the 4l80, its an animal. The 3400 stall is foolish when it comes in and I've only had it out on motor alone, a 300 shot should be absolutely insane. The trans am transformation is complete and I couldn't be happier with it. Once I get back this summer I have to do a little finalization on the wiring for the peripheral items, gauges, N2O, etc., and then up on the rollers! Hoping to top 550rwhp on motor, 700rwhp on the plate, and if all goes well 800+ on the second stage.
