INVALID RESPONSE FROM PCM

I've been trying to read my pcm but I'm geting the INVALID RESPONSE FROM PCM error. I'm using tunercat with the $EE def file. Im able to scan it using freescan but tunercat wont read it. When I try it read it the fans turn on and off and at 70% the error comes up.

I made sure its the right port, all power saving modes are off, virus protection and firewall is disabled.

I have a 94 z28 a4 and I'm using a serial port cable from ALDL

Hmmm.... You do not have any guages or scanners hard wired in do you?

Nope. I also tried it on my brothers 94 z28 and has the same problem. Im guessing its something with my laptop.
