I've decided that I really hate that big ole box of ABS crap under the hood. I never drive the car in rain, snow, etc. I doubt I ever do any 0-100-0 contest's where ABS might come in handy so I want to remove all the excess ABS brake stuff.
Anyone else done this? If so what all is involved??
Thanks!

its's a breeze if you use one of these kits...

i have installed the abs delete pluse line lock kit on a freinds car and plan on using the same one on mine. and for a $180.00 it's a pretty good damn deal!

The basics....
You need to T the front lines together, and put a proportioning valve going to the rear.
F-bodies have some nice kits. I got a combination valve/prop valve/T-fitting all in one from Summitracing. Then I just had a local shop make 3 braided lines to make plumbing easier. I could have bent up hard lines.

I just did it using the SJM kit last weekend. It was easy. The flaring took some time as I have never done it before. It was a PITA flaring the hard lines under the hood cuz they're right next to the rail. It took me and a buddy a few hours with plenty for beer and breaks. I really haven't noticed a difference without it besides the crazy amount of room I have under there now. I love it. If I did it again I'd spend the extra coin and go with braided lines. Other then that great mod!

Since we've figured this out, I don't think I've ever seen under the hood of the 94 :embarassed:
Pics?

The abs can be removed with about $25 dollars worth of parts.

i bought the sjm kit and realized that i did not like were the kit puts everything. so i basically bought the kit for a proportioning valve, and a T fitting. everything else is going to be custom bent lines to put everything down were the cold air kits put the air cleaners.
just something to think about. you only really need those 2 things and just reuse your stock fittings on new lines.

Yeah, I have replaced it since those pics were taken with a TurboXS unit. It does the job and holds 14-15psi, but I've been shopping for a Vortech Maxflo or Mondo. Just need to pull the trigger and buy one.

I just finished mine last weekend. I got mine from Shon at a very good price.
I too didn't like putting it by the rail so I rebent some of the lines from the kit and the SLP line lock I had. Now everything is somewhat hidden by the CAI and it is in a spot that is more knuckle friendly.
The little black and white pictures suck in the instructions. You can't make out anything but I have been assured by Steve at SJM they have upgraded the pics and now use a color laser so the pics should be much more vivid and these are included with all their new kits.

SJM ftw and braking is better with out abs unless you drive in snow/rain.
