I hate forum chat rooms, they never seem to work out very good.

I made one for Speed Density that logs into AIM and creates the room. Only problem is you never know who is in there, if anyone. The ones that are on the forums usually stink IMHO.
well i go on my local board, and on yellowbullet.com, and they are very good all the time, lots of good conversation

i dont mean stink as in lousy conversations, i mean in usability, stability, etc.. We had one on my loacl club, and it was down more than it was up, then again we dont use VBulliten.
The one on mifbody.com is awesome. Really good for quick answers to stupid questions and works well IMO.

With some of us in this group... it would be a zoo. I'd participate :D

The problem with those chat rooms is that they heavily lag the servers. We discussed this a few months ago and decided against it. Sorry man.

If deemed popular and a lot of us have AIM you could post a link that will create a AIM chatroom.
Something like aim:GoChat?RoomName=LTxTech

I find them obnoxious and unneeded on a forum. The forum is there so people can use it to talk to one another. The chat room would bypass the forum and a lot of information would never make it out of the chat room IMO.

It's like a hangout spot, however I've always just IM'd people randomly from sites and gained online friendships that way so I find it uneeded as well.

True, but alot of that information shouldnt be on the board anyway, i just prefer talking in real time and not having to refresh and wonder whos gonna reply
