I'd be pissed off a little bit if all that paint flaked off inside my clear corners. You'd never be able to get them out! I might try it anyway with my bulbs I kind of like how the amber glows while the lights are off though.

LEDs are getting cheaper though :D
I have some 5way LEDs that I really need to try in a light to see how well they spread. I'm just using them in my gauge cluster.

With LED's don't you need to buy some kind of "flasher" to make them blink? That's pretty much the only reason I haven't thought about that route.

Well that and the fact I found the "Chrome" bulbs for $2.99 a piece - everywhere else wants a at least $15 a set.

Yeah, most cars require an electronically regulated flasher instead of the resistance one that is stock. My pickup didn't need one... dunno why.
It's a simple plug-in deal... just like any relay or fuse.
There are hacks who wire in resistors to get the LED to have enough resistance, but IMO, that's 1/2 azzed, and more work. (3rd brake light issue with LS1 spoiler is a different issue)
