Thought this would be a cool thread. If you have met anyone famous, post it up! Whether it was just a simple handshake, or talking to them, it doesnt matter.. It all counts.
I've met:
- Bill & Hilary Clinton
- J-Mac (The autistic basketball player that scored 18 points in 4 some-odd mins.. I was actually at that game since it was at my high school.. I was sitting next to the kid filming it, he was one of my friends and a neighbor)
- Tedy Bruschi (New England Patriots MLB)
- Doug Flutie (Buffalo Bills QB/TV announcer)
- Lou Gramm (The singer of Foreigner, hes a local and attents many of the local car shows. He bought my fathers 67 Corvette a few years back too.)
- Brian Gianta's parents (Their son plays for the New Jersey Devils, I helped my dad out with a summer job a few years back cleaning the outside of the house and doing the windows)
- Majic Johnson
- Ryan Miller (Buffalo Sabres Goalie/Rochester Amerks old goalie which was the Sabres farm team)
- Cal Ripkin Jr (met him when I was like 5, but I didnt know who the hell he was.. My father used to work for Kodak and they would sometimes give away box seats to employees to watch a local minor league baseball team called the Red Wings which was the farm team for the Oriolos and they would sometimes play them. Later that game he hit a foul ball that almost hit me and could have done some damage. He put a crack in the seat next to me which nobody was sitting in. I still have the ball somewhere.)
Thats all I can think of now.. Who has everyone else met?

I meant some of the Power Rangers when I was a kid.
Oh, and when I went to the movies with my girlfriend we saw Stephen Baldwin. He was with his kids but my girlfriend decided to bother him anyway - he was a pretty nice guy.
I've partied and hung out with quite a few pro baseball players too - my friends dad rents them houses and condo's when they come down here for spring training.

i grew up and now live in the town were chuck berry lives. i have meet him a few times and he is kind of an ass. when my dad was young he used to hang out with him and his rock and roll buddies all the time.
howie mandel- met him right after his movie "walk like a man" at the floating mcy ds in st. louis. got our picture taken with him then he found us and sat down and ate dinner with us.
pretty much all the drag racers in the nhra, ihra and super chevy in the early - mid 90s. i worked for bill kuhlmann (summit racing pro mod camaro and vette). i knew many on a personal level and ate dinners with some alot. eddy hill, don garlits, john force, doug herbert, scotty cannon, sonny lenord, larry morgan, all the big wigs at summit racing and had dinner a few times with the owner.
larry nance - met him through racing and he is the most ginuine (sp) and nicest person you could ever meet. he used get me to play nerf basketball with me all the time. supper great guy and i saw him again in probably 02 or 03 and he walked right up and said hi and knew who i was.
jr granitelli - the founder of paxton supper chargers son. great guy.
i used to be good friends with jerry bickels son and daughter. went to school with them and hung out at his shop a few times back in the day. he used to have a killer bus and helicoppter.
george link - used to be a big foot driver, i think one of the first hired driver. he also used to make most if not all the wild bodies that you see out there today. he is friends with my parents and he actually got me my first graphics art job way back when.
tory holt and ricky proehl - they had shirts made for their foundations. ricky came in 3-4 times and is supper nice. he pulled up a chair and bsed with me for 20 minutes or so. i had his jersey autographed. the rams should have never got rid of him.
ozzy smith, vince coleman, greg matthews, willie mcgee, white herzog - my mom used to be a manager at a bank that they banked at. they would all enter through back doors and walk right through my moms office. i got lucky a few times and was there when they would come through. i got a ton of stuff signed, letters and note to me somewere.
chris pronger and brett hull - i met them when chris first started plating for the blues. chris dated 2 girls i went to school with. i met them at 1 of the girls house. me and a buddy stopped by and they were sitting on the couch
devon allman - greg allmans son. he used to play in a band that bill kuhlmanns son was in.
i'm drawing a blank right now.

Mike Neff
When I purchased my first house I bought it off of Mike Neff and his ex-wife Michelle. Little bit of useless knowledge there....
I've met too many to list in the auto/racing industry. Probably the two I enjoy the most were Vic Edelbrock Jr. (actually had a meeting with him at the Edelbrock faclilities). He took me and a mfg rep on a tour of all three facilities and Vic's Garage. I hung out with and had a few drinks at the SEMA show with Larry Dixon. Larry, Brad Fanshaw (owner of Bonspeed Wheels), and I sat at the Hard Rock Hotel in Vegas and watched the crazy people on Halloween. I sat with Mario Andretti at an open house at Magnaflow. I love my job!
As far as celebrity type people:
Jenny McCarthy
Daisy Fuentes
David James Elliott
Simon Rex
Peyton Manning (just out at a bar here in Indy)
Rob Zombie

I live on the same street that movie producers the Farley Brothers grew up on. Also Richard Jenkins (Something about Mary, Me myself and Irene, Outside Providence) and Mike Cerrone (Kingpin, ME myself Irene, Outside providence) live next door to me. I was a extra in Dumb and dumber so i met the whole cast there since some of the movie was filmed in my town. Pretty much any1 else who was in those movie too.

When I was like 8, I seriously thought thats how people danced. I will admit, I did try to copy him a few times watching the show when I was a kid. I was "bustin a move" in the living room.. Not sure if my mother ever got it on video though (I'll have to ask her). I was horrible at it, but my older brother got a kick out of it, so I would do it.. If she does have it on video tape (shes got a whole freakin collection stored somewhere of just random videos of me and my bro as kids), I'll see what I can do. ;)

Just like KSmySS, I used to work on NHRA Nitro Funny Cars, so I know a LOT of drivers and crewmembers, even more than just meeting them. I've worked with and hung out with most.
Cruz Pedregon
Tony Pedregon
John Force
Austin Coil
Bernie Fedderly
Del Worsham
Phil Burkart, Jr.
Gary Scelzi
Jack Wyatt
Larry Dixon
Brandon Bernstein
JR Todd
Morgan Lucas
Erica Enders
Antron Brown
Tony Schumacher
Jason Line
Warren Johnson
Greg Anderson
Gary Densham
Don Garlits
the list goes on and on!
I did that for 2 years, and I also still work in the Performance industry, so I've also met:
Chip Foose
Mario Andretti
The Tuttles
Jessie Combs
Lou Santiago
Courtney Hansen
Mike Galley
Jessie James
Kenny Wayne Shepherd
John Lingenfelter (was working for him when he had his accident)
I'm sure I've met more, but I can't remember them all.

hey josh, did you know garlits personally? he used to hang out at our trailer when he was out "on tour" one year with his swamp rats and the way he is towards fans is not how he was/is when they are gone. i guess some people are that way when people hound you all the time. i know it got old for me by the time the summer was over and i was getting ready for school again.
