Going to look at a 94 TA, A4 t-top car. Engine and tranny are out of car. Supposedly engine is bad, don't know what's wrong and tranny is supposedly good (but who really knows since it's not in the car). He reports t-tops don't leak. Waiting on email response about some other questions I had from seller.

if everything is there and as described what would you offer?

Thanks in advance.

PS: if I make this deal, this will be my 1st TA, but It will be right at home next to my 96 WS6 Formula and my 97 Formula.

Thanks.

Back in 2013 I paid $900 for my 97 Formula with a blown head gasket. Everything else worked, so I was thinking about the same.

Any more input is appreciated.

I'd say it's worth it's weight in scrap. $350-500 tops. Maybe a little more only if it's a T/A GT, has great paint, anniversary edition, low miles, or something like that.

The only thing that would make it worth say $1500 would be if the paint was PERFECT. If it is a typical aged f-bod, then the other posts are all spot on. Offer $500ish but no more than $1000.

I paid 400 for my 96 formula with tight t tops but bad paint and bad head gasket, found Larry's car for 800 (originally 2k), found Ltconvert 's 94 bone stock camaro for 1100 with a bad fuel pump but decent cleanliness.

Pics if u can. If it's miiiiint 1000 if it's average 500

A car like that would go for around $750-$1000 around me, depending on paint and interior.

I paid $2000 for my 97 ss 6speed without any engine at all. 60k miles ok paint but mint interior. It was only 2 miles down the road. So all depends on how much u like it and how much you have 2 spend

I paid 1000 for my 93 z28 with new paint paint and a salvage title. The previous owner put in tubular K member and A arms and had a bunch of noises after he did it. I tightened all the bolts and no more noise. Good deals are out there.
