It is not a wax but a very good paint sealant. Essentially it's like putting a layer of clear coat over your paint. The pro version is best done by a professional. Paint prep is very important and you want the finish to be just about perfect before using this.

Does it protect water from entering the optispark?

Someone had to say it lol.

I think, like blackbirdws6 said, it's not a normal wax. Think of it like the stuff the dealers try to push on you when you buy a new car. It works really well for people who never get their car detailed and just live with the occasional $5 car wash.

I've used Adam's for a few years now - polishes and wax. The stuff is pretty good for amateur to moderate level detailing.

I think someone should opti coat the optispark. I will disagree that this is something reserved for those who rarely detail or get cheap car washes. This stuff is pricey but has a pretty good reputation for providing that extra barrier between the paint and environment. I'm debating on having it done on my next new car versus a clear bra.

Is it basically like this? I am a professional detailer and have only been able to use this stuff once.
