So.... I'm finally starting on this project. The radiator is standing up. There is no way I'm going to get the turbo installed and still have enough room for the puller fan configuration. I was totally against the pusher fan configuration, but conceded after hours of mock ups with the final conclusion of no way in hell that's going to fit.... LOL. turbo is a BW S480 with a twin scroll, so it's HUGE!!!!

Has anyone succefully moved the fans to the front of the radiator (pusher) and was able to drive on the street without overheating??..... My compression is low (8.5:1) so that should help.

please share your experience, pictures and fans used to pull this off....

thanks!!

Yes. Used a pair of 2200 cfm DeRale pushers through the ac condenser and radiator. Did fine for me. 3 hot laps at the track and saw a max coolant temp of 215. Derale 16925

Yup, derale fans here as well.

If you are apprehensive on their price, spend a few hours looking at others failed attempts to make cheapo fans work, then buy derales

Be prepared to run some heavy duty relays and make sure you have them fed with some heavy gauge wire. Stock crap WILL NOT work. I have two pushers in front of my stock radiator and its never been an issue.

Awesome... Thanks!!!

not concerned about spending money if that's what will take care of my concerns. I was already running the stock fans with 2 Painless 30 amp relays so I could run my electric water pump and fan/s in the pits.
