alright so my dad has a 2003(ish) explorer with the 5.0 and the engine blew up. I am wondering how hard it would be to swap in another 5.0? He is willing to pay $700 to me to get it going.

so I am discovering. any suggestions about getting the exhaust apart? drivers side is pretty easy, I'm having trouble getting to the pass side bolts where the exhaust connects to the exhaust manifold

we have a v6 exploder. i hate that thing!!!! it has 185k on it don't burn oil or leak anything and the a/c is ice cold.that dam thing won't die WTF.

We have a 2003 explorer sport with the 4.0 as the wifes winter driver. The most I had to do to it was a cai... it does not look like fun to pull the motor tho.

My parents have an 03 mountaineer with the big v8... that really looks horrible to work on.
