I've been chasing a misfire since I got the car back, so I could drive it and enjoy it for the season. The car is going under full reconstruction starting next winter. Well, that just got moved up!

I finally, FINALLY took care of the misfire. Car was running like gangbusters during the test drive. Pulled HARD. Man I missed that power!

Well, that lasted about 10 minutes, and BANG, nothing but horrible sounds and all neutral. Sure enough, blew the Viper spec input shaft on the trans.

I've been debating putting an auto in it during the new build. Well, I think I just made my decision! Stalled 4L80 here I come!

Btw, anyone know if the engine from a '94 will drop into a '93 Vette without too much fuss? I found a Vette I really like, with a bad engine. I know their LT's, but I don't have a ton of experience with the Vette LT1. I'm thinking I'll drop the Formula engine in it, use it as a nice driver, and use my spare short block for the new engine build on the Formula. I think I've been talked into a monster turbo....

That would give me a roughly 450-500hp street car with AC in the Vette, and I can start on my truck for 8.50's with the Formula.

Damn... how much power are u makin to grenade the step up viper shaft?

I think i saw someone selling an 80 not 2 long ago here. (Im not getting into the debate of 80 or 60 being better and stuff... i jave NO experience to speak from)

As for the vette other than swapping sensors and maybe some electronic changes all i see is ull need the vette accesory brscket to move stuff to the other side where they fit... i think it should be straight fwd. We had a member on here do it a couple years ago... he does not frequent 2 much tho... but u may be able to find his write up. He had a yellow c4 and a silver 4th gen camaro.

12.5:1 355 with heads, cam, and a ton of other stuff. I was also hitting it with a 200+ shot of nitrous for a long time. I guess I shouldn't complain, since there's 77k miles on the car since I built it, and I hammer it hard. It's just inconvenient right now, with us just buying a new house, finishing up some remodeling, working crazy hours, and all the regular life stuff. I just don't have time to mess with it. So, it pretty much hosed my summer of cruising, hooning, and car related debauchery.

I have an 80 I could rebuild for it. I also have a full LS swap with an 80 I could use, but I can't remember if the LS 80 bolts up, and it's in storage so I can't check it.

I was honestly waiting for the rear end to grenade. Never though it would be my trans that let go.

Motor should just drop right in. Maybe a sensor or two different plugs given the year differences, but it'll drop right in. Just make sure you use the Vette accessory bracket.

No such thing as an LT1 80e, so with the proper flexplate it will bolt right up to the LT1.

The 80 core I have that isn't from the LS swap came out of a Vortec powered 1 ton van, if I remember right. I got that one for free.

Well, got the trans fixed, new clutch, and the bloody fork was hitting the pressure plate before releasing.

I've had this issue with Spec clutches before, so I clearanced the fork, and it still doesn't fully release.

Then, the slave went bang. My luck I tell you!

New slave on the way. This car just doesn't want to be driven this year!

The fun engine is out, I'm running it on a very mild stocker. Basically, it's a stock 65k mile short block with a hotcam, my heads and intake, and a hotcam with stock rockers. I was hoping to cruise this thing for a bit this summer, while the other engine is built.

Oh, and the rear brakes have decides to get sticky while it was sitting.

I think my car hates me. Lol
