Anyone know what this plug
is for? I was rewiring my 2nd pump to kick on when the nitrous is activated and needed a 12 volt source for my relay. I cut into this plug that was loosely laying there that I don't know what it's for and now I'm getting a Single click out of my starter. Car rolled over 2 days ago so I'm pretty sure what I cut killed something. I'm trying to go to the track Sunday.

It sits under neath center console, checked all fuses there good. I'm thinking it has something to do with the bcm?

What did you tap into?

Big purple is the starter solenoid source, so don't touch that.

Big yellow is from key to switch I think

Theft deterrent relay and BCM but yea, essentially key on will switch that purple to hot.

Center console area? Then that would be the 6-pin connector for the A4 shifter range switch. Yellow is 12v switched from the ignition switch, brown goes to the theft deterrent relay. I wouldn't splice into that, it's drawing current away from the coil side of the TDR. If you need 12v, there are 3 spade connectors in the I/P fuse block for exactly that (one for battery, ignition, and accessory).

EDIT: Just noticed you already know that. The orange wire is for the hatch release, and the 16ga brown wire is one of the leads for the reverse lights.

Looks like they pulled the purple wire, cavity E, out of the connector pigtail you have laying out. That purple should be connected to the neutral safety on the shifter and then go back to the green wire, cavity D. If they are connected you should be able to crank. IDK why the green wire was not touched.

that's the neutral safety switch harness, you gotta put a jumper between thick yellow and thick purple or else it aint gonna crank

There's no purple wire in that connector, it's brown. The thicker gauge brown and yellow are for the starting circuit. Green and small gauge brown are for the reverse lights. Orange and black/white is for the hatch release.

Well funny thing. .. I have a turbo 400 in my car and have spliced into 2 wires on that harness and have them connected to my neutral safety switch on my Hurst shifter .. And when I accidently yanked the harness pretty hard it disconnected the 2 wires and I chased my ass on that thing lol!

So note to anyone that needs power for a source don't touch that pigtail lol.
