guy got a hold of me through Facebook about getting a computer for his car that he had been having problems with. I went over some basics with him on testing sensors and he didn't have a cable or laptop to do any data log in with so I offered to meet up with him since I would be in the area anyway. By the sound of it, someone had turned on the car an there were a lot of things taking place that shouldn't have been so I offered him A computer in return for a set of heads he had for sale. So I get to the spot we're meeting up bad let him know that I'm there he tells me he's about 5 minutes away. 15 minutes goes by and all the sudden I hear this frantic tapping on my window and he's motioning me to get out of the car so I do and he tells me that his car is on fire. He was about 200 feet away from my car. it looked like the fire, however it originated had gotten into the fuel lines and was taking off had a pretty quick rate. A guy from a local business came out with a fire extinguisher and politely extinguished the hood and windshield . after he emptied the extinguisher out the guy went to pop his hood 2 pour some antifreeze on it and I told him to leave it down or it would fan the flame. At this time we could hear the fire engines coming. got to give it up for Alton fire department, they responded and no less than 3 minutes. They douched it down pretty good and after it was out we looked it over and pushed it into the parking lot next to where it finally died on him. He told me that it had been overheating and it died about a mile away and he started it back up an when he got to the final half mile is when it really started to get bad and it gave out completely and posted to a stop. If he would have had a fire extinguisher in the car I have no doubt that we could have saved it. Let this be a lesson for everyone to keep an extinguisher in your cars at all times.http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/03/15/86ebaf5cdf97b12038915b098c2cb134.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/03/15/d41cc6ba4904a335b763920961e05380.jpg
He had just bought the car and only had it a week. It still had temporary tags on it....

Alot of the parts are under warranty at my local oriellys and I have a great rapport with them as a commercial customer so I may not have to pay for a bunch of the hard parts

What a shame, sorry about your luck, if you need anything to get up and running let me know I have 1 100% complete parts car (Camaro) and a ton of other parts.
It won't be free but I will do absolute rock bottom due to circumstance, yes the shameless plug does make me feel odd.

94. Sounded like he had a harness covered by a friend, I've offered a hood. He will need fenders, and pretty much everything under the hood but he texted me earlier and said he was going to rebuild.
