Billet Oil Pump Drives

Folks, I know these are a hot item. Got talking with the guy who originally was selling these @Shon Herron (http://ltxtech.com/forums/member.php?u=770) and we came to an agreement. Continuing forward, Fastbird Performance will be the EXCLUSIVE dealer for these pieces. I am the point of contact for questions, concerns, sales, etc.

That being said, you guys know I like to keep my prices down. I know Tubby Formy just ran a semi-group purchase @ $105 each. I can't do that. I'm setting the price at a solid $125 SHIPPED from me to you. I have to bump it up some because I'm fronting a LOT of money to keep these on hand. For the time being I do NOT plan to set any minimum purchase group requirements. I plan to front the cash to have a batch made when I get low, and keep them in stock so you can order at will. Remember I'm not a big business, I'm a hobby business and I don't make much money on anything I do, so fronting in excess of $1K at a time for a batch is primarily all out of pocket for me.

Now having said that.........

I'm getting ready to get my first batch in. To help ease the initial blow on myself, I'm going to offer 5 spots $115 each, a $10 discount from the normal price of $125. Once we hit 5 confirmed/paid buyers, I'll pay for the entire run, get them in and get yours turned around ASAP.

Thank you Fastbird for stepping up to the plate on this. I was gonna do what you were doing but finances disallowed me at the time, hence what had to happen then. I just knew where to bug shon at lol. Thank you both for helping further the lt1 community along, in this day of lsjuan shenanigans. I think ellwein might even be interested, he was very inquisitive into Ltconvert oil pump drive when we dropped his motor off.

I need one, but...problem is....I need it like YESTERDAY... :( My billet cam ate through my oil pump drive gear...I didn't know it until today while doing a cam swap and my oil pump drive is in NO condition to be used again, so I am literally stuck with the intake manifold off until I get a new one, and I REFUSE to put a stock replacement one back in...if I have to pay the full $125 right now so be it, but what is the ETA on these?

I can do this for you guys, no problem. But..... BlackWidowSS you need an entire pump drive if your gear is chewed up. These billet drives are the housing only, you use the stock guts and gear in them.

@Sahara I will hold off on reserving a slot until we know for sure what's going to happen.

Ok, four spots taken up. I'm going to go ahead and open up the GP to 10 spots because they're filling pretty quick IMO. So I'm going to give it 2 more weeks. At the end of the two weeks I'll be asking for payment for however many we have (as long as it's over 5 units spoken for) and after that it'll be full price for them.

Everyone who ordered from this latest batch! I have received two complaints that pieces aren't fitting. Please check yours asap and let me know if they fit or not. I'm working to try to find a resolution and fix.

Ok everyone, I have spoken with Shon. The pieces not fitting is predominantly NORMAL. They have two LT1 blocks they used for the machining of these pieces, and each block had a different bore size. Tolerances allow for this during the manufacturing process.

If your drive doesn't fit, first ensure it's absolutely vertical to the bore. They are tighter tolerances than the stock plastic pieces, and need to be perfectly vertical to the bore in order to fit. If it still doesn't drop down, you can simply take some emery cloth or sandpaper and just run it around the drive housing a few times and recheck. These aren't moving parts in relation to the block, so the machine finish doesn't have to be perfect at all, so no need to worry about the finish.

I bought one years ago for mine. Two turns of emery cloth around it drops it right in. It is that close.

Ok everyone, sorry I'm behind on this, busy busy busy.

I'm also going to make the instructions web based within the next few days.

Lastly, I added a step to the instructions to test fit and sand the housing if necessary to get the drive to fit the block considering how many people, myself included, were caught off guard by the procedure to get a proper fit.

P.S. I have one billet drive housing left for sale. It's probably going to be 4-6 weeks before I have more. Will keep the site advised.
