My friend Mike's C7 made 423 to the wheels bone stock. With a small cam and mid length headers it made 512hp. Those engines are strong!

Wonder if they've figured out how to curtail the carbon deposit issues on the DI stuff yet. Stout motor, but from what I know they like to build up on the valves quick since it's a dry manifold setup.

That's sexy. If I do ever go LS it will probably be this so that I can still say I have a LT1, but that's nowhere in my future. Lol

The new lt1 only shares like 2 bolts and a small piece with the ls1 383z

I know, but I meant in general. If I ever do an engine swap.

In other words... its not an "LS." ;)
That makes it even sweeter.

Rings back memories of my childhood when my dad had a 69 427 tri power vette. Same silver but red interior. He should have never sold it. Worth a ton of cash now days. My mom had never got her drivers license until 1977. My dad sold his vette and bought her a brand new caddy for getting her license.
