I love the website/app for Slick Deals. Find a lot of good deals there.
So my 5 year old has my wife's old Samsung Galaxy Nexus phone (no phone service obviously) to play games on, watch videos on, etc. After a year of use, he finally dropped it and cracked the screen while changing a battery. Enter slick deals. I remember someone on there posting that Staples was clearancing the Gen 2 Asus Google Nexus 7 Tablets, $98 for a 16GB one and $128 for a 32GB one. Regularly priced at $229 and $259 respectively. But no one was finding any anymore it seems. I checked locally, nothing. Was with a buddy heading west for an hour drive to sell something, hit the staples there because online showed one. Nothing.
Then I found a staples a little over an hour away. Online said they had one of each. Called, and verified they actually had two of the 16gb models and one of the 32gb models. I ended up buying all three.
So I have a VERY nice impressive little 7" 32gb tablet for myself, my kids get to play with the 16gb model AFTER I get a good case for it, and the third one should fetch me $175 or so on ebay, regaining me over half of my initial investment back. Can't beat that.
