You should be able to use the stock V8 mounts that the truck came with. Use the clamshells off the V8 you are taking out and bolt them to the LT1 block.

Oh, and keep us posted on the project. That is one of my favorite body styles of GM trucks, so I am interested in seeing how this turns out.

@Ltconvert (http://ltxtech.com/forums/member.php?u=6566) the ideas are flowing again. and yes, just use stock gm small block mounts. only reason lt1 mounts are different is to allow clearance for the ac compressor on the passenger side, hence the block has a extra hole to move the mount back on the fbody and bbody, on the truck you just bolt it in the forward position good sir

anyone have some idea on headers? looking for some block hugger d-ports with the collector near the back, not in the middle like most I have found, Also do I just need the standard SBC mounts for the 1980 c10? thanks for any help.

Nice build! Good to know an lt1 can share the same mounts as a traditional sbc. I've been thinking about swapping in a carbed and cammed LT1 in my 87 c10.
