speedo needle

i put a new guage face on (which i regret doing now) and when i drive the speedometer needle will barley move then it will move really quick to catch up with how fast im going, is there any way to fix this?

Is it possible you seated the needle down too far and it's sticking then playing catch up?

i tried putting it on further up and it falls back to the same spot every time

Putting it on further up? Do you mean further along the sweep (ie higher MPH). Or do you mean not pressing it on as far. There's normally decent gap between the needle and the gauge face so the needle can't drag on the face. Though, that seems too easy :D

further along the sweep, it doesnt look like its to close to the guage face but i will try to pull it out some and see if that helps
