Normally Id let this be until he would have a chance to make the announcement himself... however being the small and tight community that we are, i felt it necessary to begin this announcement so that we can show our support and congrats to Brian and Angie.

Saturday Morning they announced (FB) the birth of their son JOSHUA.

Ill give Brian a chance to post pics and respond. I KNOW he posted earlier that he had been up for 38 hours...and Angie has posted that both Brian and Joshua are both sleeping.

Congrats Brian and Angie meissen !!!!

:hail: Thank you guys. It's really been a whirlwind since Tuesday. We went to the OB with the induction scheduled for Friday and they told us they were going to move it up a few days and that we were going in Wednesday night at 4pm. Thursday morning they woke us up at 6am to start the process of giving her pitocin which triggers the really strong contractions. I felt so bad for Angie - it was definitely taking its toll on her. I guess they consider labor starting once you're at 3cm, so Angie's labor lasted about 14 hours, with the pushing alone taking 4 hours.

Joshua William Meissen was born at 4:13am on Friday morning, January 16th. :D

Unfortunately most of these pics got rotated.. but y'all get the point.

My favorite moment I've been sharing with everyone was when the epidural doc came in to give her additional pain killers -- they always ask "On a scale of 1 to 10, how bad is your pain right now?" Angie's response was "It's whatever the fuck level it needs to be for you to give me some god damn meds!" :lolsign:

Definitely a big adjustment. Haven't been able to sleep in the same bed with my wife for a week already. We're getting used to the routine, but it's definitely a big adjustment. I get the "day shift" so my wife lets me sleep from ~10pm to 6:30am. I then get up and take over for her as much as possible while Angie goes down and sleeps through the late morning / afternoon, but the hard part right now is the breastfeeding -- only one of us can do anything about that. They say no bottle for the first 3 weeks, so we're stuck having to rely on Angie being the sole feeder. He sleeps for about 1.5 - 2 hours at a time and then wakes up hungry, so then I have to wake Angie up to feed him.

We had our newborn photoshoot today, of course i had to show some LT1 love by including an optispark as one of the props. And of course as soon as the opti got near him he started crying. :lolsign: It was kinda ironic.

Haha Larry's keeping me honest

He's getting big - seems like something new every day. It's fun teaching him to do things and then he'll mimic it - like blowing raspberries or making a "chewing with your mouth open" face and then he does it haha.

Just turned 11 months old yesterday - it's going by way too quickly!

Thanks guys - admittedly I usually only pop in when I see I've been tagged in a thread. Never a dull moment around our house.
