I got these a while back but the time to put them together is coming soon. I have never really dealt with adjustable shocks on my car before, but wanted to make sure to put these together correctly from the beginning. My main question is the thrust style bearing. I noticed this thing has several layers.

Is this one bearing or several? There where 2 included in the kit, but it seems very thick, and wanted to hear opinions.
Also what end of the spring is the top? It seems when I put the spring cap (not sure if that is the right word) on the spring it only fits on the flat or big end of the coil.

If it is like the bearings that came with my QA1 shocks, it comes with two bearings. One for each side. One of the flat washers goes on bottom, then the bearing in the middle and then another flat washer on top of the bearing. Should be a total of two sets just like this included in your kit, three pieces on each side.

The bearing assembly gets installed on top of the top adjusterment collar.

The end of the spring that is on bottom is more flat than the top. The top end of the spring actually "clocks" into place on the stock spring mount.

I hope this makes some sense...lol

Hey thanks for the help. I am still confused however. The stack of bearings pictured in the lower picture is from ONE of the two packages. After looking at them closely tonight it seems like I have 4 total sets of bearings. (2 in each package) That is washer-bearing-washer X4

Also look at the way this guy set his up in this thread in his pics. It seems different than what you saying about clocking into position, if i am understanding you correctly.

Scratch what I said. Looks like the Strange are a totally different set-up. The QA1's that I got are the Generation "F" double adjustable. The top of the spring actually uses the stock spring mount unlike the strange set-up.

You might give Madman a shout and see what he says. I know he uses Strange and Afco shocks on some of his builds. Or just set it up like the guy has on the link you posted.
