project cheap azz coupe

I recently came across a 79 coupe with 4cyl with auto trans for free. The car is in kinda ruff condition far as paint and interior. That being said it doesnt have any rust. I was told the car still ran when he parked it. His plans was to build the 2.3 and swap to a 4 speed. The car was my grandpals car before he passed sway.

Its pretty dirty cause it been sitting under tree for 10 years. The plans are to run carb lt1 with as much spray as it can handle. Gona do stock motor with new bearings, rings, and rod bolts. Gona try get race weight down to 2800lbs and do it as cheap as possible. Gona be in market for used cam and valve train here soon. Were goin to start pulling everything out this weekend. I will take alot of pictures. Cant wait to see what tjis tin can will end up running.

He is one of the few ford friends I have, him and his brother still believe in 5.0's. That entire car was used parts, laying around the farm literally, including the shell, which he was gonna use the floor for something else. And he did split the block right down the middle
