Was looking, and is there no love for the roadmaster? I think its an ltx car and was wondering if there is some key areas where to look. I guess its a 1 owner car with all receipt for less than a grand. Debating whether its worth it to clean and flip.

I believe same as the Fbody.. P as the 8th digit. Is that what you were asking?

Yes, I just looked it up, Vin should have a P in it, dual exhaust as well. I don't believe they put the 4.3l in roadmasters, but they did have a 5.7 throttle body injected

Biggest thing is to verify it's a 5.7.
I don't know if they put the 4.3 "baby LT1" in Roadsmashers or not. There are a handful of folks on here that have them IIRC.
Local guy B-body fanatic here in NC has a Roadmaster Wagon for a daily driver. Has the wood paneling on the sides. It's lowered a bit, on some nice shiny 17" wheels, with a handful of bolt-ons and suspension upgrades. Cool ride.

Supposed to be really clean and babied. Hoping to get some more info tonight. Guy at work mentioned in passing that his buddy was selling it. Its an intriguing thought and I think a little bit of time with the DA buffer and some elbow grease and I wonder if it could fetch 2k and pocket the profit. Or toss a set of 20s on it with some tint and ask 5k

I really want to build an Impala SS wagon on steroids out of one of those. Or even a Caprice wagon.

Roadmasters are definitely cool. I equally like Impala SS's and the Roadmaster wagons. If I had to choose between the two, it'd be the Roadmaster. I saw and heard a cammed one years ago at a car show.

I almost bought a blue impala ss clone wagon that was nice and clean, but had mechanical issues, so I settled http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/01/06/26f1141eea3c15a48633a582fb7b9dc2.jpg

You are correct on both. P for the 8th digit in the VIN and no Roadmasters came with the 4.3 from the factory. After that though, we live in a free country. Look for the "327" on the side of the block as well.
