1996 camaro z28 fuel tank size

So I just filled up my car from e and it went all the way up to 18.5 gallons. I had about a gallon and a half left. What size fuel tank do these cars have? That should mean that my tank is 20 gallons but I thought they were only 15.5 gallons? 31215

Im Guessing u were on fumes and u got that extra gallon and change out of the filler neck. If im not mistaken... the plastic tanks are 16 gallons

On fumes I couldn't ever get more than 12.8 in either 94 or 96....

i dont get to pump my gas in jersey though, i think it stops way early and the kids just hang it up :(

Yeah I'm gonna call the gas station tomorrow and figure out what's wrong. It was only $10 I lost if anything but if they are doing this purposely to everyone then that'll piss me off. I'll keep you guys updated tomorrow on what they say. I just couldn't believe that.

its less fun when you do get the one person who tries to top it off to the max. I.E. you say $30, it stops at $24, the idiot keeps trying to shove 2 more gallons in the damn thing, gets it all over your quarter/bumper, and it eats the paint
