Well I ordered my Lloyds mats about 2-3 weeks ago, apparently the company that I ordered them from didn't relay the order but sent the money... http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/src:www.ls1tech.com/get/forums/images/smilies2/icon_confused.gif About a week after I ordered I got a call from somebody that said they received the money but no order he then proceeded to take my order over and apparently over the phone graphite sounds like black.... well I now have black floor mats with a red T/A bird on then and it doesn't match my interior. I sent the company an email but I'm sure in the end I will probably have to order another set and lose $173 dollars, since they are custom screwed up mats...
Any ideas or suggestions on what I should do?

give them a call and say i specifically ordered a different set, and be rough. when you yell people listen. be like I SPENT ALMOST TWO HUNDREDDOLLARS JUST TO HAVE THESE MATS SHOW UP THAT ARE NOTHING LIKE WHAT I ORDERED! SOMEONE NEEDS TO SEND ME THE RIGHT MATS BECAUSE SOMEONE TOOK MY ORDER OVER THE PHONE INCORRECTLY!!!
^^ lol

I'll have to try that, i dont know if i'm going to be able to yell since I'm going to be at work when i call. haha. I already sent them an email, the freaking mats that i have been looking forward to getting ruined my effing day!

My advise would be.. Pretty much the opposite of brices post, or at least at first anyways..
Give them a chance to make it right, talk calmly, and try to get through to them that it isnt what you ordered. Nobody wants to get bitched at, but sometimes its needed. See what they are going to do about it first, and if it isnt what you want, then its time to get mad.
Sometimes shit happens, but its all about how you fix the mistakes that counts.. Ot at least in my books. It sounds like they did skrew up, but eitherway, they should have taken the orderly correctly in the first place.

Well this is the email in return I got...I'm pretty satisfied as long as they don't try to pull some crap where I ordered Black and not Graphite.
Jess,
We are looking into this now….
We have in the order that you asked for Black. If your original order was for Graphite then you are good to go as it was a mistake on out end and we will have to eat the cost of the mats. If your original order was also Black, then I am going to have to work something out with you as this was the color you chose in two different orders.
Let me see what I can find out….
Thanks,
Jim

Very nice!
It usually pays off when you give someone the opportunity to fix something, and talk to them in a polite way... They will do more to try to help you than if you were to just call them up yelling at first.
Hopefully everything else goes smooth for you, and take some pictures once they're in your T/A!

Will do! I just got the car it was completely stock, I'm going to wait until I get my TT2's, tint, exhaust to post up some pictures. the people that had the car before me have the interior a wreck... :(

They won't match anyone else's interior either though

I figured black was a pretty generic color... that's the only reason I suggested it.

yeah. thanks though. I'm thinking that I can probably get the color I want either way...just might have to pay a little bit.

Update with an email I just received from them:
Jess,
I did some investigating and seems that when you placed the original order, none of the order details came through.
How about I will get you another set of mats in Graphite at ˝ price? You can keep the original set we sent or sell them on ebay. What do you think?

Well I got the second set and they are great! Now I just need to sell the other ones, I have been trying for a while, didnt think it would be hard to sell mats that were $173 for $90 shipped. but I was wrong...

I picked up some Lloyds for the Vette right before Christmas. They're great quality, I'm sure you'll be happy with yours.

i am so far. they look great! they didnt mold to the floor as well as i thought they should. but it looks great overall. the charcoal or dark graphite is the way to go on color if anyone else is questioning what color to get.
