For all you guys with aftermarket SS hoods (not the 3"). What brand and where did you get it from.

Mine is an A&A Specialty, and it suck's they went out of business because it fits as good or better than any of the other brands I have ever seen. It took no body work (sanding, filler, etc.) to make it fit like it is below.
Doesn't matter where I bought it since you can't get them any longer.:(

VFN makes some great fitting hoods.

VFN would be the only choice if the made the SS hood. All they make is the 3" and they have no plans for the regular.

I hear Trufiber makes a decent hood, but it doesn't really stand up against the more expensive rivals.

Got mine from another board. And I think its an rk sport. But I really dont remember. Not the best fitment. I ready to change. 1 side is a little lower.

Damn.. I never knew that. I've seen a lot of their hoods on F-Bodies, and thought for sure they would have made one.

Thats the best way to go, as well as the OEM SS Spoiler.

Lol I just bought the spoiler from SLP just need a hood now. Not even going to try and find a OEM one. That'd be a pain. I just wish VFN made a regular SS hood.

It is a Suncoast Creations hood according to the past owner - it was also pretty light:

I believe Suncoast was pretty well regarded back in the day. Not sure. Does VFN make a SS hood or just the 3"?

Did it take any work to make it line up right? I've heard some horror stories about them.

Do you two have pics of the underside by chance? I'm curious to compare them vs. the A&A that I have. I wonder if the Suncoast, or Ebay might be using the molds from A&A. I eventually want to get another SS (style) hood for my other car.

Unfortunately they only do the 3". I emailed them a while back and they have no intentions of a regular... :(

Maybe this is a stupid question, but who is A&A? I can't figure it out. Here are some pictures of the bottom of the Suncoast Creations - the old owner of the hood said it's an older one from "when they still lined up right". Sorry the picture is a little messy - I didn't take it, it was the picture sent to me when I was thinking of buying it.

Not a stupid question at all. A&A Specialty was a appearance accessory company around about 10 years ago. They were mostly known for their rear spoilers (all OE looking, nothing like an APC wing). They also did ground effects, and hoods. They have since gone out of business.
