I think the quote box should be like a more subtle color like a light gray or something, the white is kind of blinding in contrast with the black scheme. IDK just my .02

Ditto. I've been meaning to bring this up as a friend made mention of it to me today also (GTO guy, don't think he signed up).
I'd do it myself but I won't play with the skin that I'm not familiar with.

Shouldn't be hard. Just get the Hex code for that grey and that white and search your quick reply box code for it in your template file(s).

Hmm you mean the color of this box above? I can't exactly darken it that much without affecting the visibility of text. There are actually 2 images that load, so I'd have to re-color the image. Not that it's hard but is it that big of deal kind of thing.

What looks ugly about it? Maybe I can spruce it up a little bit. If it's the color, I'm not going to be able to change it. It's just too much work for even a slightly darker color. Both templates use this quote box and the mod doesn't support different boxes for different styles. It would basically be a ton of work to make it look good on both.
I actually thought it looked pretty good. :)

normally a quote box is actually darker than the normal background. I dont like the white at all either. Id say make it black with white or light grey text.

The quote box doesn't blend in with the skin. I'm using the default black skin. The 'background' of the quote is like gray, with the actual quote box being white.
See the tip of the arrow? Shouldn't that be black so you only can view the quote box?

Here you go with IE again... :shame:
FF displays the transparencies the right way....sigh.

Is that better? There was an option to drop the opacity down to 70%. That's really the best I can do, aside from turning it off entirely.

No, it's back to looking like my screen shot...I can see the gray around the quote box.
I think you should just use IE to set this up, since that's what the entire world uses :taz:

haha, we haven't even gotten to the white box request yet. What color is that going to be? I like the white, then again, I like being able to see and read wtf I'm looking at. haha

Can you just make the background for quotes a set of big hooters or something? That would make everyone happy. lol. The black on black doesn't look so hot

I'm just going to leave it. It's too much of a pain in my ass to fix. I could do it in some spare time tomorrow, but it's not exactly broken ATM, so I'm not putting it on the list of my top priorities. Sorry if that offends anyone.. :(
Is it looking ok right now bob? I switched to IE right quick and it looked alright to me.

Hmm, I wonder why. They are displaying ok over here when I run IE. I wish there was a way to define the quote styles per user, in your user cp. Then we could please everyone.

hmmm, now it's displaying black outside the quote box after your last post (at 0128). That's odd, I even refreshed multiple times before posting that I could see the gray. fkn odd
I like it with the black background and white quote box. I dunno :)
