Regala. LOL. I think Brad may be thinking about using telekinesis to relay the rules and classes. You'll need a computer with a db9 comm port, a sine wave analyzer, and one of those 1980's satellite dishes in order to receive the transmission.

Yes, but running ESPA is more a matter of semantics really at this point, I drove my car as a daily driver and I just fail to see how a intake makes it "too extreme" :lol: Otherwise, its fine, the rules be the rules, I will run other classes. And yes, with a good 60ft, should be a 9.5 car.

SERIOUSLY THOUGH.... MRS Popo and I love to preparty down there. It is such a beautiful place number one... so we love to have a day to ourselves... we usually get there Tuesday, and chill and hot tub and just enjoy US. Weds, we usually have a few members come down early and we start to hang. Not necessarily doing everything together but we start to have fun... like hitting the Vette Museum... Going out to eat... etc. Hell even the hotel bar is a blast.

Thursday the members start rolling in and the first parking lot party is ON.... FRIDAY, Car show... Parking lot party, but most racers call it a night early.

SATURDAY, we are off to the track early.... Ive never raced before, so Im usually working on setting up our USTREAM live broadcast, and helping whomever I can with whatever they need. Last year I was even the chase vehicle for the street drive that was pre race...


BGKY is soooo nice and so much fun...

Message From Colin, Brett and Casey. These last 3 years have been some of the most challenging and also rewarding of our lives. It seems like only yesterday that the honor of the event was laid upon us. We started out believing that we where doing everything we could to make this a better event for all. Along the way we made some friends that will be in our lives forever and we lost some as well. This has been one of the biggest learning adventures of our whole lives and we feel honored to have the LTX shootout as part of what makes us who we are.

[color=white]With that having been said we are proud to (as it was passes to us) pass the LTX Shootout torch to two main guys that we think will carry on the passion and love for the event. We will be turning things over to them in the next few weeks so please be patient as we get them everything they need. Brad Francis from the Certified Performance crew and Ray Hinton will be heading up the 2015 LTX Shootout. We wish them the best of luck and we have every confidence that they will carry the torch proudly.

I have a feeling that there will be some classes and rules before I eat turkey and mashed potatoes again. With my math, that is over 9 months to get in where you fit in. This is going to be awesome event, and I would encourage anyone who "might" be able to attend, to do what is in your power to make it.

Bowling Green has seen all minds of eye-openers from the LTX crowd. Down on one-knee proposal, golf cart vs. pizza delivery guy parking lot racing, That Nova guy cleaning house on the cornhole boards, and many more. Not to mention all the local attractions from the water park to the Corvette Museum.... and who doesn't like STEAK 'N SHAKE?!?!

Anyway, enough soapbox talk from the guy who had the rearend tore apart in the parking lot in 2012 to get ready to race, and then decided to paint his car only yards from that very spot in 2013 before the car show!

Unfortunately some issues between the coordinators of the past couple years lead to a seperation of site and event AT THEIR REQUEST.

Fortunately new coordinators have picked up the reigns and have already made great moves and decisions for the event... starting with the return to BGKY....

We have been discussing the rules with everyone involved and should have something up soon. I will be typing up what we hope is the final draft today and after everyone gives there approval we will post them. Personally, I would think the end of the month would be a worst case scenario.

BG was/is great but, it's not really fair to say STL didn't work if you weren't there. I think we can all agree it's the people not the venue that make it fun.

Gateway has been the best track at any Ltx shootout event so far. For the racers that were there this year the track was well prep and everybody was running fast times. Overall a great track facility. BG is ok but its got nothing on Gateway.

If they would prep BG like I know they can and like they have at other events the track can hook hard. But the track temp we have had at BG the last few years has been stupid high. If we had track temp and DA like we did at STL this year I think everyone would be happy

Like said above, BG track hooks just fine for other events. I talked with the people at the track in September and they have no problem prepping the track for the normal price paid, and ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ASK!

Well it has taken a lot to get to this point but we are finally ready to convert this thread to the 8th annual LTX Shootout thread. :cheers:

We are now working on getting the Shootout website updated and made more mobile friendly along with a few other upgrades. Look forward to more updates on that in the near future.

And to address the questions already asked or brought up in this thread we would like everyone to keep in mind that we want to get this event back to what it origanally was intended to be, an event for this community of LTX enthusiast that is all ours. While there will most likely not be a -500 DA in Bowling Green KY on Labor Day weekend, we feel that the date worked best for people traveling long distances and the facility was very nice especially for the ability to rent the entire track for the day. The same goes for the hotel accomodations, we know it has worked well in the past and they are giving us the same rate we had two years ago even though they are completing a $7 million renovation.

Again, our goal is to put on the event that we as a community want. If the date, location, hotel, rules, classes, etc. need to change to fit what this community as a whole wants then that is what we will do. This event needs to grow and we are going to start right meow.
