Good car but can I ask why you did a 2.5" exhaust over 3"? And why 1.5 rr over 1.6rr?

exhaust was done while I was in Iraq, and the shop was worried about clearance. My parents were getting it done for me, so I really didnt have much say. I ran 1.5 rrs due to time constraints. When I was building the motor I got orders to korea and I did not have much time to finish building/swapping the motor and trans

Well your in Florida so your guys
Winters are good and you can sell it. ..
Honestly you'll make more $ parting it but will probably sit on parts for a while. ..
Depends on the buyer and what not but id start Round 7500.. just an opinion though
Didn't see rear mentioned .. still a 10 bolt ?

I would say $5500-6000 is what it would sell for based on what I have seen.
If you had a 440+ RWHP dyno sheet or a 11.40 or better time slip to attach maybe a lil more $$$.
Not wanting to hurt any feelings, just give you a realistic # to expect.

With a car that heavily modified it would only catch the attention of a select few, and usually those select few want results of the work done like timeslips or dyno numbers. I don't see you getting any more than what it would sell stock unless you find someone at the right place and time who just has to have your car. Take it to car shows with a for sale sign and your price to see what happens. Try and get a read of those who look at it and their expressions when they see your asking price. This is how I sold my father's '56 Ford.

My concern is this^. If its not on the road...or driveable... ur not gonna get anything for it.
Gotta make it right first... or as said before, part it out.

It is driveable and street legal in florida. I just dont like driving it with the current headers and without cats anymore. I also think my medical issues are becoming a factor when I drive it(mentioned in a previous post).

I remember your issues. Ok... so it does not have any issues... its just mods that may cause inspection issues in other states? I gotcha. FL has no inspection correct?

do you not like the current setup due to the smell? or just how loud it is.

its because of the vibrations. I have had multiple concussions and the vibrations make me really dizzy

anything hitting? or is it just the resonance from the exhaust?
its a nice looking car, hate to see it go to waste.

I really am not wanting to part with it. It very well be the resonance, I need to find someone else with a modified car and see what happens

you have an h or x pipe?
spikester7878
09-25-2014, 01:26 PM
nope, straight. the only time the pipes meet is at the muffler
