anyone good with alarms?
i have an alarm that i've been trying to take out of the car, i got most of it done but stuck with a couple wires that look factory that i can not find a home for.

this is the closest match i can find to what is on my car
29835

its a brown and grey wire, so what i've been guessing is its for the door open switch and the parking lights.
they both head into the harness and it looks like one goes back to the trunk other to the door but i dont see where to hook the other end of the wire too.

fyi i really hate electrical crap lol

you said take out but your question is more like installation.all you have to do is unplug the brain you can leave the harness or cut the wire's leaving as much wire as possible on the alarm harness.if you are installing it than the brown wire is the parking lights and channel 2 is the hatch release i put my wire to the factory switch.

i hear ya
for all reading this a alarm has only a few outputs
1)parking light flash
2)courtesy light (turns light on for 30 sec)
3)door lock/unlock
4)trunk open(channel 2)
5)siren
6)led status
as far as input's go
1)shock sensor normally just plugs in(zip tie it to the steering column or a wire harness)
2)dome light supervision(you don't need to go to each door just the dome light that come's on when any door is opened)the dome light on a f'body's works when you open the hatch(door)it set's the alarm off
3)if you want to get fancy hood pin(you will have to add that switch.the starter interrupt i don't do because if your vats is working they can't start it,and if they want your car bad enough nothing is gonna stop em.
auto start is easy to install on a auto.but the m6 you got to bypass some safety equip to make it work then NEVER leave the car in gear.
back in the day we made it so you could only start the car when the cig lighter was pushed in or you had to hit the turn signal to start it.
i have done my own alarm installs for over 20 years

it did have the starter kill as well.

you got it out?
the starter interrupt there should be a yellaw orange or maybe pink 10 gauge wire coming down from the column that they tap into just splict it back together and unwire the relay it should only take 5 to 10 min or so
here you go

yeah that part was easy to tell what they cut and spliced into.

So you're trying to reconnect your door open switches? Where did they hack into? Those switches are incredibly simple, just a single wire that grounds to chassis when the door closes (or opens, I forget which).

do you know where the wire grounds out to? its hacked into right under the steering column. i have the end that goes to the door just dont see the part thats grounds out or where it goes from there.

really??i have a 95 with factory keyless entry i had to go to the passenger's side behind the kick panel to the RKE module.the pass side is the master switch at least it is on mine and i had to install relays.some alarms have relays buit in some don't some can't handle more than a 500ma ground.
anyway i would just cap it off instead of chasing it down.
