I just wanted to make a thread on here as kind of a rant/update as I wasn't very open with it. As some of you know, my TBSS was listed for sale (http://ltxtech.com/forums/showthread.php?24062-2006-Trailblazer-SS-105k-built-engine-and-bolt-ons). I received a lot of interest, almost overwhelming at times. The tire kicker to serious interest ratio was around 10:1. Anyway, I really just wanted to sell it outright, but was interested in a couple trades. Mainly a 99+ full size GM pickup or 98-02 T/A (not for me!) plus cash. One guy in Texas had an 06 1500 Z71, rust-free high miles, dents/scrapes/etc but overall solid. We exchanged pictures and videos and I provided him with a novel of information since day one of ownership (back in 11/08) to every issue and fix/mod that I've done. Motor specs, bolt ons, install dates, oil change dates with oil info/mileage, etc.

Anyway, we traded and I got a nice bundle of cash on top of it. We decided to try out uShip.com (not a sponsor - sorry) to ship both vehicles. We ended up finding one company (broker/middle man) who promised to pick up both vehicles in the same week of a deposit. I put the deposit on my credit card. Long story short, 2 weeks later the truck was picked up in Texas. The transport company was given misinformation from the broker and expected both vehicles to be in TX. They lost money, expecting to pick up both vehicles and had an empty slot on the truck. About a week later, (was told 3-5 days), the truck arrived in PA. We waited another 2 weeks and the TBSS sat, and sat, and sat. Finally, the TX guy decided to fly up and drive it home, which he did this weekend. The TBSS made it 1500 miles without any serious issues.

Now, I get to wrestle with the broker to get a refund because they are the worst company I have ever done business with. They do not respond to phone calls and are very quick to get you off the phone. "Get It Done Transportation" in Florida is the absolute worst and crooked company I have ever dealt with. If you ever decide to transport a vehicle, you get what you pay for. Stay away from guys like this!

Anyway, the truck. I had a couple weeks to play with the truck, but didn't get the title or rest of the money until the TBSS was in transit. I did an oil change and new headlight bulbs. Then when I got ownership (officially lol), I did other tune up stuff to it and put about 200 miles on it so far. It's a nice unit despite the 211xxx miles. Perfect for my needs. The trans fluid is a little rough, but the TX guy told me everything that he knew was wrong with it so I have yet to find any surprises. The lack of rust ANYWHERE still baffles me. You could eat off the frame and floor pans. This is extremely uncommon in PA.

Thank you! At the end of the day, I got what I wanted for about as much as I expected. Not to mention it went to a good home. I would not have sold it to someone that looked like they'd just abuse it.

The new owner is looking at beefing up the cooling system and doing other stuff that I just never got to or couldn't justify spending the money.

Now back to my T/A :)
