Flip Up DVD Player issue and fix....

I installed flip up dvd player in my Z, not thinking about how far the A/C controls stick out. Well, when the monitor flips up it was hitting the knobs and was wanting to sit angled towards the floor. So since I didn't want to get rid of the knobs I did the next best thing....

I made some out of aluminum bar stock on a lathe that makes them stick out about 1/2" less than stock. Now the monitor can flip up all the way and not make contact.

I plan on knurling the sides, and maybe painting them black since i don't have anything else on the car that is brushed aluminum, but here is what they look like currently. And yes they work great too and do not fall out unless pulled on pretty hard.

Let me work on them a little more and maybe I can come up with some more, luckily I saved my drawing. They need to be knurled, and an indicator on the front to let you know what selection you are on. I turned them at work in between other jobs, and it was sort of a prototype. I tried to find some online, but it is surprising how little dress up stuff I could find for these cars. Not sure if any other companies make anything like these or not.

Ok... but i dont wanna sound bad... I would buy them...but uf have to be a sponsor to sell/advertise them on the site. Just felt like I needed to say that so it didnt sound like I was setting u up. But again I would buy em...for the camaro and the ta.
