After having nobody show up to look at the car for $4,000 firm I decided to keep it and rebuild it. The car was still fuel injected when I was trying to sell it, stage 2 TDP T56, Ram Powergrip HD clutch, forged 355/bowl ported heads/CC503, KYB struts and springs, LS1 front brakes, lowered 2" on C5Z wheels, tubular LCAs, LCA relocation brackets and adjustable panhard bar, K&N CAI, magnaflow catback with electric cutout, pacesetter long tubes, 30lb injectors, ported intake, 58mm TB... SS hood, spoiler and interior.

After deciding to keep it a few weeks ago, I went ahead and carbureted it. I tore out the entire interior except the dash, center console and door panels.

I traded off the wheels & tires for a set of 15" Pro Stars with skinnies and 28" MT ET streets.

I have a bunch of parts to install from the past few days - coil springs (back to stock height), wheel studs, Pro 5.0 centering springs (they sent me new springs for free!), weld up my dual Dynomax Bullet dumped exhaust, weld in the subframe connectors, figure out where I want to install my Kirkey aluminum seat, weld up my 8 point S&W rollbar and other odds & ends. Hopefully I can get a few passes down the track before the winter. I'd like to see lower 12 second passes on motor before I spray it.

Winter plans are more free weight reduction, freshen up the motor, QP 9" rear, fogger kit; maybe a VFN Sunoco cowl hood that's extended to the windshield.

What distributor are you running?

A normal HEI, recurved and gutted for my mallory 685.
Lost my tach in the process but I installed an autometer.

Did you sneak it in there without lowering the engine? Or did you have to unbolt the k-member?

I did it while I was seating the intake. My wiper cowl had to get notched but while the motor is out this winter I'll reshape that area. I don't think I'll have any issues with tech inspection, it isn't visible.
