ok guys I figured it was time to let you see what I have been working on. its a 97 ss with 63000 miles on it. I rescued it out of a guys back yard it had been sitting since 2007. the engine blew up and he had it taken out then the shop closed and he lost a lot of the parts that come out with the engine. all it had was a tranny without the bell housing. with a lot of help from kitt8090 and a few other members I got all the pieces to put it back on the road. as for an engine I worked in a performance engine shop for about a year when I was laid off so I got a good block bored it .030, align honed, shot peened and zero decked it. then installed an oe crank with manley h-beam rods, srp flat top pistons with race rings, comp xfi 280 cam (I know should have had Lloyd grind me one but had this before I realized how good he is) lt4 timing set, comp pushrods, trick flow gen x195 ported heads, comp pro mags, and lunati springs. mccloed clutch with an slp lightened valeo pp. it has 373 gears with the aam aluminum cover. the stock wheels started to bubble so I sanded them down and used plasti dip kinda just to see how I would like the black on black we will see how it holds up. got it up and running now but trying to get all the bugs worked out. took I test drive and the brake booster is shot so that made things interesting. now the speedo is messed up but its almost ready. needs a windshield yet so ignore the crappy cracked sticker on it.
